but i cannot proceed to that step
This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.

I have change my mailing address to make them same, also cannot

I have the same Pbe issue with paypal too. I emailed to their pbe staff regarding this paypal and I think they called me up. After awhile it can be verified.

I even requested two times verification and ended up having RM20 in my paypal account. rclxub.gif

I have abit of trouble with my paypal acct. I have already confirmed my credit card n now I am verified. Problem is when I want to make payment, it say limited access.. I tried the resolution center, it states that it is awaiting confirmation of address n phone number is the same or not. I checked my account details and all is correct.. I clicked on the Resolve button n it shows me error as system not available.. I tried emailing paypal about it but have yet to receive any response from them. Can anyone let me know what is it that paypal wants?
*
I always solve limitation problems by emailing them, they would reply in a day or two otherwise you have to call their customer service department.

They usually limit accounts that involves a lot of money in transactions. Not sure why they wanna limit yours for address and phone number problems.

iampokemon, i just used paypal to shop online and when i'm about to make payment, it just show me how much USD i need to pay. i tot it will show me the rate and how much RM after converting then i sent a mail to paypal they said the rate is depend on your bank. so they mean bank determine the rate instead of paypal? how bout you? hehe..

Added on December 13, 2010, 3:50 pmp/s any chance i can know the rate and the total in RM b4 i make payment when i shop online next time?
*
If you're buying from online shops it would be depending on bank rates. But sending money through paypal accounts would depends on paypal currency rate and charges(not quite sure). I read this somewhere else that rates are according to paypal which is worst than bank rates if sending funds from paypal.

Bank rates are equally low too. You can check daily currency rates at xe.com. Can try saving few bucks when purchasing at a lower rate for usd. Doesn't affect much actually if you're purchasing just a few low cost items. smile.gif

Just curious;is it possible to buy stuff online or send cash to another person using an unverified account?
*
Yes you can but sometimes Paypal will limit your account and make things harder for you. So it's recommended to verify your account. Perhaps this is part of their way in doing business, locking up potential customers to use its service smile.gif

Yea, that is the problem with monopoly where one big party controls all the things especially monetary transaction. It can't be help since every online shop opt to use paypal. I hope there will be a better competitor emerge in the future to slap paypal in the face...
*
There is another competitor offering better service and better exchange rate than Paypal. You can check out Escrow. I haven't research yet about this method of payment, just heard that it's another alternative way than Paypal and could even be link to your Paypal account.

hi guys, i recently got a new card from citibank to replace my old one. i added the new card to paypal and made it primary. do i need to confirm the card to be able to use it?

after i confirm, how soon does it takes for the confirmation code to appear on my citibank statement? (paypal mentioned it's 2~3 days but would like to check with you guys..)

just won a bid on ebay and need to pay within 3 days, my concern is i can't get the code on time to confirm my new card to use it to pay.. just realized i don't have sufficient balance when i tried to made payment :\
*
Yes it usually take 2-3 days for the code to show up on your statement. If you have online banking it would be easier to check on. U can notify the seller that your payment would be delayed slightly.

Your funds is in what currency? If you're using usd it will use your usd currency balance amount, using MYR then will deduct your MYR balance if any, or deduct through usd. If you have MYR currency it's actually not much use since their main trades using US currency.

So if you don't have balance in USD, it will deduct straight from your card.

No you can't do that. It's either you use the MYR currency or you withdraw it to your bank account by clicking the withdraw button smile.gif

just RM20 that they confirm 2 of my card and refund back OMG man wasted RM20 there....

Yeah but you can withdraw it but it will charge you RM3 for withdrawing. So you will lose RM3 to Paypal as service charge biggrin.gif Since Malaysia merchants seldom uses Paypal except Paypal Malaysia, it's better you take it out or just simply buy something from eBay =)

may i know what are the conversion rate of paypal, via debit card/nextG now?
perhaps sth little higher for them to earn money like 3.15 or sth?

anyone..?
*
The conversion rate is very low from USD to MYR. Which is usually lower 0.1 from XE currency exchange rate. Lets say now the current selling rate is 3.06, through Paypal exchange rate is just around 2.96. The rate is much worst than your local bank rates.

ok..just to make sure one more time..

scenario: my friend is sending money from US and im in m'sia

1. Paypal convert USD to MYR (lost a few percentage)
2. Paypal charge some fee for receiving money (lost a few percentage)
3. Transfering Paypal credit to bank account (lost a few percentage)
4. Withdraw money from bank account

Did i missed out anything here?..May I know in what percentage will be lost?..
*
1. Paypal convert from USD to myr will usually lost 0.1% through currency exchange and 4% on transferring service charge.
2. If your friend select that you will be charged the 4% transferring fee, you will be charged or either party will be charged.
3. Transferring Paypal credit to bank account will be not be charged if your amount is larger than than certain limit.
4. I don't know if we could actually withdraw money from bank acc to Paypal, except for US residents.

Hi all, I recently created a new paypal account. There is a restriction of the amount that could be send which is RM1500 on an unverified account. My question is, could I still buy from ebay for items over RM1500 since I will be using a credit card to checkout? Thanks!

Sure you can =)

Im just add/transfer money to my PB Debit Card using cash deposit, how long it take to see the paypal amount increase ? 3 day ? or a week ?
*
You mean withdrawal of Paypal funds to your local bank account? If your debit card is linked to your bank account it should be considered under bank account. It would took 2-3 business days. Weekends don't count.

Otherwise is 5-7 days and an additional RM20 service charged by Paypal.

You can't add fund to your Paypal account unless you are US resident. How do you manage to add funds from your PBE debit card?

I think your pbe card nt activate yet for online transaction or your withdrawal limit is too low.

Last time I got this problem too and after questioning pbe staff through email, they told me to adjust the limit. After that then no problem dy.

guys, is it safe to key in credit card detail in paypal?

btw, how to send fund to seller? not ebay.. Is booking hotel. The hotel receptionist just give me the email only.. icon_question.gif
*
Yeah it's safe. Send fund is by transfer the amount of money to their Paypal email. Why don't you pay straight through their website which is much safer?
