Withdraw to Maybank account = Maybank visa debit card. It's the same since it goes to the savings account at last.

There will be no fees charged if the amount withdrawn is more than RM300 if I'm not mistaken. If there is, the amount would be small too.

Only withdraw to credit card do they charge extra.

Hi all, got something to ask.

I always purchase stuff from US using paypal.

Under the currency part i saw

• The PayPal currency conversion process
• The MasterCard and Visa currency conversion process

I often use the 1st option, do you use the 2nd option ?

Is there any difference on the exchange rate or i will get some extra charge by the bank ?

Thanks a lot icon_question.gif

Yes can receive money. You would need a debit/credit card and a Paypal account. Both are needed for registration in eBay.

You top up in the wrong currency. You should top up in USD instead of RM.
My solution is: withdraw all your money in RM from Paypal and top up again in USD.

There is 3.9% service charge for the receiving. So let's say someone transferred you $100 USD, you will receive only 96.10USD net amount.

The rate from USD to RM is according to the Paypal. When you are about to transfer the amount it will be stated there.

If you're receiving quite a lot of Paypal funds, it would be ideal to upgrade to Premium account which is free of charge.

Sometimes you will encounter some problems that requires you to submit a scan copy of your information, bills and receipts. After that it wouldn't be much problem anymore

The link is www.paypal.com.. There would be RM10 for registration using debit card/credit card for verification. But then the RM10 will be refunded into your Paypal account after successfully registered.

you don't link it to your bank account directly, but to your credit or debit card. If you're linking using a debit card, then yes, it's a direct deduction from your bank account. The Paypal and Bank rate is slightly different though, so expect slight differences

Hi all ,

I wanted to buy some items from eBay and I wish to send the items to my friend house , so i created another shipping address , when I wanted to make payment by using the paypal , it block and limited my account transaction and asking me to send some bill statement photo to proof my address .

But the problem is I using my maybank debit card but maybank doesn't provide any hard copy statement , so what can I do for it ? I just snap my EPF statement that show my name and my address and send to paypal , is that ok for it because I can't find any other bill already .

thank and merry x'mas . smile.gif

I think no need photocopy of your bill statement. Just photocopy of your ID card and electric bill would do =)

i think you can also try this method
just go to your maybank branch...
ask them a copy of your account detail..and stamp it with the branch detail to show it's genuine..
and send it to paypal..
and also tell them that's for a 3rd party address...not you own address..

p/s:
but i do feel most probably they will decline...due to security matters sad.gif
but you never know untill you try it right??!!
