Dear all paypal sifus,

I'm a paypal service provider, just doing fellow forumers a good deed helping to purchase from ebay and transfer funds.

Yesterday, I received a PM from a newbie, account created yesterday itself, claiming that he is from overseas, wanting to purchase paypal funds from me. I'm ok with it, since it's just funds transfer. The deal went on smoothly, received my payment, transferred to his paypal account.

However, hours later, he SMS'ed me, saying that the paypal account I sent to was not verified. He have another paypal account that's verified, however, can only receive funds and cannot send funds (which is weird). He now asked me to help him fill in some form in some Vietnam visa registration website, with my personal information, using his login account. I highly doubt this deal now, as it sounds like a scam to me.

He claims that he is from Mauritius, and is travelling to KL, and plans to visit Vietnam next. Too good to be true, cause if I insert my paypal information into the website, he could have use all the information to purchase things without my concern since he has all my information (he requested for birth date, real name, contact, etc.).

If a paypal account is verified, how can one not send funds, and can only receive? And if he is from overseas, I'm sure he have got credit card, and does not need paypal funds to pay for Visa services.

What should I do next guys? Should I just ignore him, or help him fill it in? Filling in - means that I have to pay for him, and he has already got the funds in his unverified paypal account. His nickname in forum is domado16.

Kindly advise sifus sad.gif

Added on December 10, 2012, 12:00 pmraptar_eric, from what I read you are the one applying for the Visa?

hey bro, nop I'm not the one applying for the visa. The guy asked me to help create an account, payment information is mine, while registrant information is his. This is what I'm afraid, I'm not sure if the information can be viewed, or if it allows the website to apply recurring payment to my paypal account. Afterall, I've done my part of the deal, which is to provide him the funds. Whether or not his account is verified, he have another account, he can send or not, it's his issue I believe.

I don't wanna be "mr nice guy" end up, instead of earning just afew bucks from it, I lose much more.

*Further down the email, is actually his personal information to apply for the Visa.

Noted bro. Thanks very much for letting me know. Very disappointed indeed, that there are such ppl abusing me, when I'm just trying to help out our forum members to get items they want by providing such service...

anyone have got any experience receiving echecks? how long does it take to clear?

i have a 2k USD echeck sent from the US.... i normally receive instant funds from this guy in the US, however, this time round, no idea why, apparently he has no way to send instant funds, so it appeared as echeck...

may I know, if anyone experienced it before, how long does it take to clear and appear in my paypal account, as i'm waiting to ship the item to the buyer....
