Called the hotline last night. Was told that the earliest date I can get the replacement unit is end of Sept.  sad.gif Somemore the CS asked me to STOP using it  tongue.gif
Add on, I'm buying from Sen Heng (as Gold sold out so fast in Samsung website...), and the CS told me I have to pass it back to Sen Heng for replacement at that time...? And asked me to wait for call from Samsung.
Gave them my contact no, and I asked him to take down my IMEI and email too, just in case.
I think I will negotiate to get my replacement in Samsung SC instead, don't have faith on Sen Heng...

I also went to Samsung SC at Lowyat last weekend and the staff seems so blur (I went at 10am, just after they open shop, kiasu LOL). He just take down my contact and email (not even IMEI or proof of purchase) and said will contact me if there is any update.

I also just called, exactly what the CS told me, but no need surrender the phone at this moment, the exchange only will start end of this month.

And I can continue using the phone, ofcoz at my own risk.. whistling.gif

Already stopped using my Note 7 2 days ago after noticed some problem with the batttery. The battery just felt warm even though I closed all apps and did not used it prior to that. Battery also drop straight away to 0% from 50% in just 5 minutes. When I try to charge the battery was very hot and not like before. I stop charging straight away and switch off the phone. Now Im using my IP6s plus as my primary phone again. I may sell the Note 7 after receive the replacement unit.

quoting the article:
QUOTE
The company said Samsung customers could receive replacements or full refunds and courtesy devices would be available on Wednesday for those who had to return their phones.

QUOTE
“It’s a different story if the phone comes as part of a contract for service with a telco. In this instance, if the service can no longer be provided because the phone is dangerous, you might have a right under the guarantees within consumer law to cancel the service.”

they have strong consumer rights group and awareness... smile.gif

this recall is supposedly due to battery issue. so, Samsung need to just replace battery with one from new batch and they can sell as refurbished.

Anyone feel their N7 Wifi reception is a lot weaker compare to the previous N5 or N4, btw I'm using Spigen Neo Hybrid case.

Haha. Joke of the year.
Buy new phone already can't use it.
Need to use back old phone.
Samsung really fail this round.
I think many people will be disappointed and jump ship to HTC or SONY.

If I was given a choice between full refund or a 1-to-1 exchange, I'll rather go for the 1st option tongue.gif
