Checking with XT2 users, i notice my XT2 can't use the rear command dial to change size of focus frame whether it is in Single Point or Zone AF mode. Do you have similar issue?

10-24mm is a wonderful lens, I have thought of it too but a bit expensive for me. tongue.gif

Yes, I understand the feeling because I have 23mm and 18mm too. In fact, 18mm is one of my most used lenses and got it at very cheap price. biggrin.gif

Well after I used the x100t, I wanted a faster focus lens for street photography and came in liking the 35mm equivalent field of view. I bought the the 23 f1.4 for that reason. I would sold it for 16mm if fuji finally release the successor x100 series with better auto focus laugh.gif

Did u press down the focus stick before try to change the size of the focus box? If u did, then something is not right hmm.gif . Any changes towards the setting? Did u tried using the front dial instead?

Hahaha I see. I wanted to get the 16mm f1.4 but it doesn't seems to be wide enough because already own the 23mm and the jump from the viewing angle does not seems worth the money  sweat.gif  laugh.gif

Check out the Samyang 12mm f/2. Since AF isn't that critical with wide angle lens, MF lens isn't all that bad. Angle so wide you can handheld down to 1/10 without OIS too. It is not expensive at Lazada, so you get the wide-angle that you need once a while use.

Yeah I know about it, I like true manual focus lens unlike fly by wire focus for mirrorless. To bad no zeiss lens for fuji tongue.gif
I sometime wanted the exif data from the lens, thats why I'm choosing between 10-24mm or the samyang 12mm laugh.gif

Guys... finally managed to sell off my old camera.... and I think more or less I am poisoned by Fuji...

So my precious 2 cam... most used lens was the 35mm or 30mm prime lens so I am almost certain to get fuji 35mm as well....

Just that now occasionally I do feel like I need wide lens for group photo.... or sometimes I feel I need to zoom also when travelling and if stand far away then I need to zoom.... so based on that I guess I can try get the kit lens....

What I need opinion is:
1. Anyone uses the kit lens vs the 18mm prime and is there a big noticeable difference in IQ?
2. any other recommended lens based on my usage above?

Thanks !

Just get the 16-50 lens either the variable aperture or the fix f2.8 lens tongue.gif . Trust me 18mm isn't wide enough for group photo. There's many instance I always wished my kit lens was a tad wider doh.gif . Although for my case I just get a wider angle lens just for the group photo laugh.gif

18-55 kit lens is good enough, if you need WR go for 16-55 great for everything.. the downside is low light AF bit cacat , expensive and HEAVY!!

maybe you can consider 23mm f1.4 or 23mm f2 WR

any user of 35mm prime here? looking at 35mm f1.4 vs 35mm f2...don't know why sometimes the maker have to purposely give the user headaches...haiz...

35mm 1.4 - sharper from review...better in low light...but focus slower
35mm f2 - less sharp, but focus faster... weather resistant feature, of course much cheaper, probably about 2/3 of price, smaller size

what tempted me on f2 is the size and WR....but a lot of times i wish i can go lower on aperture....

the earlier pic from Tanakwagu_noh really damn nice also... from f1.4 lens...
