any user of 35mm prime here? looking at 35mm f1.4 vs 35mm f2...don't know why sometimes the maker have to purposely give the user headaches...haiz...

35mm 1.4 - sharper from review...better in low light...but focus slower
35mm f2 - less sharp, but focus faster... weather resistant feature, of course much cheaper, probably about 2/3 of price, smaller size

what tempted me on f2 is the size and WR....but a lot of times i wish i can go lower on aperture....

the earlier pic from Tanakwagu_noh really damn nice also... from f1.4 lens...

both have pro and con...
depend how u shoot...street or portrait in low light
go have a look and feel..u can feel from there which one u wan...

pricing is near same for both....

Bliz just curious... i understand getting the 10mm as wide lens... but between the 23mm and 35mm... i think they are really really close.. so appreciate if you can share the reason behind getting these 2 lenses? Instead of just getting 1 of them?

Thanks !

23mm and 35mm is quite a big difference, the view is totally different as well, i suggest u try it out yourself to experience. When i have my full frame nikon i got 23mm and 35mm ( FF equivalent of 35mm and 50mm ) as well laugh.gif

I'm planning to get X-T10 with 18-55mm kit lens and possibly the 35mm f1.4 lens... while waiting for any special promo, if there's anyone willing to let go 2nd hand unit, do let me know. I'm willing to consider getting 2nd hand unit also if the price is right.
Thanks!

X-Pro2 and X-T1 owners can upgrade your firmware today. Sadly X-T2's postponed to November 29, same as Final Fantasy XV's postponed launch date.

Thanks for informing.

It seems for X-T1 is just a minor update: Compatibility with the Shoe Mount Flash EF-X500
Will do that next week when I'm back from outstation. laugh.gif
