Just like the Affin top up. You have yet to ask. So why not u ask them about this second one on FP ?

I was surprised about the FP deal. Last time I went in with RHB on VP deal with 6 mth 7.8% FD. So actually not really great deal except it is 15 mth 4.25% for Affin's deal.

Could be related with branch implementation and how eager they wanted the business.

I don't think so. Initially the FP did not go thru'. Hrs later, they called back saying the 1k units bought.

As mentioned earlier, bought 1k FP, placed FD >100k.

The problem is even the 1k FP unit, not successful and only hrs later got it. So 100k FP ??

You are a tough customer !

Anyway, what I said has been done. 1k units of ASM bought with >100k FD 4.25% placed. Whether it is branch implementation issue, or large FD amt as key driver, I rest my case.

In Affin this morning. Confirmed the FD promo to get 4.25% by buying ASNB FP units. Minimum is 1k units.

In fact I opened 3 FP ASM, AS1M and ASW2020 accts today in preparation for bigger things to come. After my successful try, the next counter, one Chinese lady was not successful. She was also trying to bundle it with the 4.25% FD.

Earlier I have 2 placements of Affin 4.05%, did not know that can get the FP units bundle with 4.25% deal !

Thinking of terminating the last one and re-put in for the 4.25%.

Actually your question should be how many digits of FP ? Hahaha !

Already have substantial FD with them. The 1k FP requirement is just sub sub sui. Today's new FP acct just opened with small amt of dough.

Ya, the counter staff was commenting that I was lucky to open the 3 accts, all in 1 try. While the other lady was not successful. I guess some other Affin branch must also accept FP units as requirement for the 4.25%. Not this particular branch. But u guys reported 2, I think, in Klang valley (?) that did not accept FP.

But confirmed true on Wed, 2 days ago. I also opened 3 FP funds there. I am sure some other branch of Affin is doing the same thing.

I only state what has been done. If crossing state borders help, please do it if worth time/effort !

Affin FD package reach quota, confirmed with Affin just now. They asked me to go in and may get a "special" package.

So no more 4.25% with UT ! Now have to plan for new home for my eggs in 2 weeks time.

Looks like RHB or UOB will be the suitable one. Hopefully by Oct 1st, some other promo comes along.

There goes my 4.25%. Big amount some more !

May have to change my allocation for FD/ASNB FP.

Ya, the FD due on 1/10. Got to ask AmBank for extra interest since it fell on Sat and Monday replacement holiday. 3 days interests.

But still cannot all go to FP, still bigger amt to FD. Just a matter of RHB or UOB. Unless some other FD promo comes up.

Went in to see AmBank RM. Wonder why they only call me now to join their PB. Heard lack of RM and she just joined and will be stationed at the branch.

Only got this as gift:



Talked about investment, DCI and the FD rate that she can get for PB customer. Said for <200k, can typically get 0.15% to 0.2% more. Well above 200k, can get >0.2%. BUT, only for board rate. Currently AmBank no FD promo.

Went to HL to activate their new PB card. Was told their OTC promo:

6 mth 3.9% for new fund
6 mth 3.8% for old fund

Best is still their eFD of 12 mth 3.95%.

Saw this in Gen-X's Facebook:

UOB Bank is offering 4% Straight Forward FD Promo for 12 months without any stupid CASA condition. To be eligible for this promo, you got to deposit minimum RM100K fresh fund. UOB is still offering 3.95% for 12 months FD tenure with minimum deposit of RM10K.

But the 6 mths HL's FD should be 3.9% as I mentioned yesterday. It was shown as 3.95% in his Facebook.

I have ignored on this CASA requirement as I already has SA with UOB. The 4% is good as I have even plan to go for it around 4/10 when the offer was 3.95%. So the 0.05% extra is even sweeter.

The UOB SA I have need minimum RM1 there. I only kept RM4 there now.

Affin's 4.25% with ASNB FP expired !

I think I will go with UOB 4% around 4/10. My MBB GIA-i and CIMB Klibor (hopefully) mature on 5/10. So heading to UOB and also ASNB FP.
