QUOTE(cklimm @ Oct 7 2016, 08:02 PM) dude, in this case, why dont you guys take HSBC Premier instead? It makes RM500 per referral instead of 388. And They give 4.38% p.a FD for new to premier customers Wow, RM500 referral fees. I gained RM300 X 3 for OCBC PB referral. The amt was shared.

QUOTE(ikanbilis @ Oct 7 2016, 02:05 PM) PM me your name and contact number. After i join RHB premier wealth I will introduce you. However there is no guarantee as bro Bbgoat mentioned must be investment product. We just try our chances as the TNC never mention this. My question to RHB is who will ever make a RM200k investment product for a mere RM388 incentive? The RHB BM told me that about 2 years ago. The banks that I am PB don't care if it is purely FD products to qualify for PB or mix of FD and UT. I would be glad if RHB changed the criteria to be 200k AUM, irrespective of pure FD or not. Then I can do referral among family members and gain extra dough for makan makan. This post has been edited by bbgoat: Oct 7 2016, 09:00 PM

OK, did not mention this few days ago. For my AmBank FD that matured on last week Sat, only terminated it on Tuesday due to the weekend and Monday holidays. Asked for the additional interest from AmBank. Received it in my SA 1 day later. About RM60. So do ask them if u have FD due on Sat/Sun and they can credit it for u. If u don't ask, u will not get it. Unlike UOB or BR which will adjust FD maturity automatically to working days during placement.

QUOTE(haur @ Oct 10 2016, 01:18 PM) Does Affin credit additional interest if maturity falls on weekends? Thanks. No experience with Affin on that. But 1st page indicated that they do. Please check 1st page.

Checked with the RHB manager. Now the RHB PB 200k requirement can be purely FD but need to maintain 10k in SA. Once PB approved, can withdraw out the sum. OK, may work to get the referral fee among few family members.

For the record, I have mentioned the problem that I encountered with the interest payment of MBB's GIA-i with eff rate 4.5%. MBB has been manually crediting the interest for last few months. Now the whole issue has comes to a close. I got all the interests due to me. Have closed the GIA-i and moved to better things !

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Oct 12 2016, 01:24 PM) 3 months is short. did u ask if 4% can do for 6 or 12 months? 4% 12 months, don't wait! bnm expected to cut rates at nov 23 meeting. i last did 4% at HLB 12 months in july. today, i asked... 3.75% for 12 months islamic. no promotion at this time. I guess I was lucky to get the RHB 4% last week.

QUOTE(David3700 @ Oct 13 2016, 12:04 AM) So looking for better FD promo in coming months may not be realistic. But it depends on whether BNM will lower the OPR in Nov or not.

QUOTE(David3700 @ Oct 13 2016, 09:41 AM) I will foresee the current rate will stay put. BNM has indicated still need time to observe the effect from previous cut. For me, no need to wait, will secure whatever the best available now (HLBB eFD 4%, UOB 3.95%, RHB 3.9%) Someone has mentioned CIMB got 4% or 4.1%, verified ? I typically just go with the best rate avail now instead of putting short term waiting for better promo. Putting short term only when there is a need say 1 to 3 months later. Hard to believe on the CIMB 4.1% unless it is really a BIG sum.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Oct 14 2016, 11:30 PM) General Investment Account-i (GIA-i) Campaign Higher indicative returns with Maybank Islamic General Investment Account-i (GIA-i) Campaign. With minimum placement of RM10,000 for Individual and RM 25,000 for SME/BB in a single receipt, earn higher indicative effective profit rates of 4.10% p.a for GIA-i 12 months campaign and 3.90% for GIA-i 6 months campaign. What's more? Get your dividends paid monthly with Maybank Islamic General Investment Account-i. The offered profit rates for the campaign may be revised should there be an Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) revision by Central Bank of Malaysia, in view of the assets repricing following the OPR revision. This is an investment account that is tied to the performance of the underlying assets. For more information please refer to the Product Disclosure Sheet. All returns/rates are indicative. Not covered by PIDM and the capital is not guaranteed. Campaign Period: From 16 Oct 2016 till 15 Feb 2017 Starting to plan for next move. I think will place some into this but not too much. The OPR clause is kind of nagging. Looking for retail bond, some more FP and other FD in say UOB 3.95%.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Oct 15 2016, 01:36 PM) Rule of thumb : If it's too gud to b true, read twice n spend time to digest Actually few times already the 4.5% has been mentioned. Has been refuted. But people still excited about the 4.5% and ask or believe in it.
