here's my experience with samsung rm39 official screen protector:
2 pieces, feels better quality than those cheapo rm5 PET sp. not quite tempered glass feeling but better than usual PET. covers almost all of the screen including almost 99% of the side edges, but not camera/iris scanner otherwise it'll interfere with image quality and infrared scanning. very high in difficulty installing this SP without soap technique. if you misaligned it a bit too many degrees to the left or right theres a chance a small part of the edge of the SP will stick to the metal frame instead of screen and this will cause lifting. i've installed it dried to test it out and couldn't get it 100% perfect, by my estimation about 1mm off centre. also had to spend quite a bit of time to squeeze out the bubbles compared to flat sp. also surprised that 2-3 dust speck bubbles were able to be flattened out. usually the bubble in normal PET SP will remain big no matter how much you try to squeeze it out. any casing that is covering more than the metal edge frame or touching the edge screen will most probably cause SP to lift even after fitting casing correctly cos you'll most certainly drag the sp along when taking out the phone from your pants pocket. personally not satisfied if it's not 100% correctly fitted, but will do for now until more reports and tests are out on the gorilla glass 5 durability. then i'll probably ditch the sp and go naked like my current s7e. |

QUOTE(JonnY @ Aug 22 2016, 11:51 AM) My S-Pen also a bit lose for the top part. I thought it is normal cause my wife's note 5 S-Pen also like that. A bit of lose is better than stuck inside. If you can accept your wife's note 5 S-Pen, I don't see why you should worry about it. Just my 2 cents.Anyone can advise as this is my 1st Note also. |

some "grouses" about the new Touchwiz:
* no volume control when pressing the power button. only off/ reboot? hmmm... * no infinite scrolling -- such a pain when you have a few screens and you're at one end and need to go to the other end. why can't they put a switch to enable this? * still trying to get used to the stuff they chucked into SETTINGS. need to take a while to look for things. luckily the search function is good. * no torch/ flashlight widget. need to use notification. such a pain... well, i come from Note 2, which had most of the stuff i mentioned above. i guess just need to get used to it. |

QUOTE(rajlesta00 @ Aug 22 2016, 09:08 AM) C&P from XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/hel...starts-t3444764 To me, it is not the case. Bcoz it also happened after the factory data reset without any unlock security set and without my own installation of app.Regarding freeze and reboot Myself, I have both fingerprint and Irises configured. "Got my N930FD from Dubai two days ago and had freezing and rebooting issues after a couple of hours of playing with it. Got 2 OTA updates but no luck, changed FW no luck either. I guess i know what the problem is - it's the fingerprint scanner! I disabled the fb lock and kept iris and the freezes disappeared, once i re-enabled the fb lock it went back to freezing. Going tomorrow to Samsung to drop it off, hopefully they'll change it for me." |
