I've read in cnet that the Razr V3 is already got the 3G version named V3x. Anyone knows when it will come in Malaysia and how much it will cost.

If u are lazy to read a long review on the V3x, this is a summary that i did from the original site but its mainly about the design only. The device is mainly targeted at 3G operators, and is supposed to become one of the cheapest clamshell solutions with a formal set of characteristics. The manufacturer is capable of reducing the price actively, which will make the V3x attractive for its entire life circle, which will probably last for 6-8 months. we can say that the V3x is positioned above the RAZR, however is below or on the level of the V3i. The body material is soft touch plastic, which has become mass for many manufacturers and for Samsung first of all. The main part of the body is in the same colour, and a silvery side edging rounds the whole body. It appeared here to make the phone thinner visually.  And I think that is not a good solution, as the V3x can't be taken for a "slim" model. Many people, who dealt with it, say it is rather a big phone with considerable width. Such impressions appear when we rely on our sense organs but not exact metering. The CMOS camera coincides with the latest Motorola's devices, however provides with a higher photo resolution. The camera software improved due to the presence of GoForce 4200 chip, and now the photo quality is better. Only red backlighting colour is available for the indicator, this one appears when charging the device or at events (an incoming call, an organizer event, a message). It can light up smoothly and fade slowly  The screen resolution is 240x320 pixels (33.84x45.12 mm), which allows 7 text lines and tips for soft-keys use. The dot size forms 0.141 mm. From 16 to 24 characters can be placed on a single line.  This screen even can't be compared with the one integrated into Motorola RAZR, its characteristics are higher. And even Motorola V3i loses in lower resolution. The display of the V3x is the best in the Motorola's product line for the moment.  [The backlight of the keypad rocks..] |

here is a few oppinion from the user
1)I think nokia and sony ericsson is a much better phone in term of performance, features and user friendliness. 2)I got this phone but very dissappointing with the old video 3gp not Mpeg 4, camera so so. 3)the battery...it doesn't holds those hours (not even close)... 4)No audio recording... agreed |

i saw a copper coloured v3x in subang parade,didnt like thee feel tho,kinda plasticky instead of rubbery,but all in all the phone is okay..love the clear screen...

1) what is the price if converted to RM??

Just bought black v3x at sungai wang for rm1400, no problem with 3g, mms and gprs.
the phone seller is going to change my firm current firmeware(italy version) to malaysian firmware since local motorola can't do it. |

how bout the sms capacity?? i saw a video clip for v3x, the phone inside only store up to around 15 sms then the message full message was displayed... cant store the sms in internal memory?? only can store in sim card?

im not too sure but i havent managed to find any problems with my v3x. so far memory isn't a problem eventhough im still using my internal memory.
the price? - rm40 monthly for a 24 month contract. you do the math response time? - so far no problems with it. i must say its pretty smooth (even the camera) except when you type a message with your keypad tones switched on. that's when it lags a lil'. fun part of the phone? - the voice command function. im pretty impressed with the phone's capability of understanding voice functions without even requiring you to record anything! sms capacity? - as my phone's still new, ive only reached 200+ sms's, and they're all still in my phone. value for money? - oh well, im not an avid motorola fan.. its always been nokia for me. but if you're going for the 'mother of v3s', this is the phone to get. for looks, i still prefer the previous models. one problem though.. - the phone's design wasn't thought out too well. through wear and tear, the top plastic portion where the 2 megapix camera sits will be left with scratches on both sides due to a slight rubbing with another plastic piece each time you flip it open. however, the camera isn't affected. |

Heheh hi guys, im new to d boards.
But i've been following this thread some time liaw, coz gonna get a v3x soon myself. Best bit is i won it through contest, no nid buy U guys got see the Maxis On The Ball Trivia Contest? Can win razr v3x ler! Go Maxis webpage if u maxis user Now using SE K300i almost half a year liaw, not too satisfied. Bout 2 weeks ago saw d contest ad on paper, go join. Sms sms sms 1 whole week kira-kira nett lost rm200. But at least got win Phone will be couriered to me within 1 more week(waited 1 week edi). When arrive I will try do review on it |

I read sumwhere only d blue version will be available to M'sia/Singapore region.
White/black/bronze(?) will be available to cingular carriers in other parts of the world (eg vodafone). Maybe AP sets offer more colours. |

how can i get my phone unlocked? its been locked with a USIM code by my my provider as im signed on a contract with them in melbourne for 2 years..
ive had friend's bringing phones back to m'sia and getting them unlocked for around rm50-100. |

Just would like to clarify with all of the V3x users, when you all making or receving calls, did you all heard some like soft eeeeeee sound which a bit heard like boilding water hehehe ?
I exp it sometime but not everytime and feel it quite annoying with a very soft eeeeee sound in the background like mosqitoes or boiling water sound. It is very soft and the e sound sometime high sometime low!! Sometime when i record video, this sound also appear when i replay it back. coz for nokia, i know they charge RM20-30 to update firmware for non authorized set or out of warantty sets. but i duno whether motorola service centre has the same policy or not. |

Just got my V3x today... everything is fine except i have difficultiy copying files to my hp
It detects my fon but whenever i copy file (drag and drop like a thumbdrive). It has this error message "The request could not be performed because of an I/O deveice error" Anyone know what to do? help appreciated |

i was told the upcoming color will be the dark silver color (vodafone type) and bout black and white..still no updates yet. I think MOTO marketing strategy is that , they purposely wait till the sales for current v3x to slow down then only they launched new color to boost the sales.? IMO. |

No headphone jack. Just a mini-usb connection for its own handsfree set.

Can any v3x sifu help me with these
? 1. I can't load any images when i go online using the v3x browser, and even if they do load, they're black n white n funny looking I'm using gprs oni... n i edi enabled image loading in the browser setup >___<2. To all V3x user, do u encountered this prob?
If u forward a sms after u read, before u click send, press the end key. now, the abort msg option will came out. at this moment, if u close your flip, eventually your phone will hang a while and restart itself.. I guess all the V3x user here also have this prob.. same goes to E1070 users.. |

Any creaking noises from it's back housing (battery)?
Please advice on ways to minimize the creaks as it's pretty annoying. I've tried putting a piece of paper underneath the battery cover but it's not helping. Cheers. |

It does make the casing "move" as in not 100% fit Please advice on ways to minimize the creaks as it's pretty annoying. Flex is simply the branding of the phone. Ignore this. The S/W version is more important.

i just bought it, trade in with my P900 RM650 + RM480= RM1130.
AP set ofcourse. this is my first motorola phone and the UI is not that user friendly. but the sound quality is not bad. |

Say, has anyone been able to get the 3.5mm headphone adapter to work with the V3x? I get no sound at all when I plug in my headphones to it, and sounds are still playing from the phone's speaker....any input on this guys? There's no setting to 'enable' the headphones via the adapter, none that I can find anyway.

I got a V3x new, for about 1 month now,
I found a one minor problem The sound system from USB tends to crash when plugging in the headset. Restart oni ok baliks, crash in the sense u can't dail out using ur handfree using blue tooth it is ok which i bought is ok. Overall good phone , hard to scratch, rubberise. camera is fine for a 2mp. battery life well no problem 2 days with some photo taking phone and sms is fine. Idle well 2-3 days. |

A V3x user for 2 months now. Absolutely satisfied. Friends been making fun of it's "childish" UI when compared to w800 / w900. But WTH, i bought this over w800 coz it looks WAY WAY cooler and it has 3G. And for w900, different league(price) and too bulky.
But anyway, got some questions for you guys and would appreciate it if any of you guys can solve it: 1) Can we cancel a sms while its sending out? I was a k700 user before this, whenever i press send(sms) i could cancel it immediately if when i've accidently send to a wrong person for instance. 2) Are there any earphone for the mini usb port for the phone? the 1 piece earphone provided is crap for listening music cheers... |

i am quite interested with this moto v3x. but after a research on the net, i found out most of the ppl is complaining about this phone. EG: 1: MP3 does not play even though it says its supported. (What is CBR and VBR?) 2: Real and wmv does not play too... *Both of the above shows "File format not supported" 3: New contact when saved to phone book, will disrupt/destroy the existing phonebook. 4:Message tone. For eg: a 2 minit MP3 is assigned to a contact name as ringtone.WHen this contact send a sms, the SMS ringtone will sing for 2 minit regardless u have read or not the SMS.(Same as O2 mini) *ALl the above are read from Overseas forum. Not sure if malaysian version of these v3x have these problems. Anyone using v3x and mind to share their experience? *Is the ringtone/speaker loud enough?O2 mini is not loud enough..... |
