you don't even know what you want to do now, you are thinking about diploma?....

diploma is for people who knows what they want to do, and is usually a 3 years course after spm....you can work after....of you can then go into a top up programme to continue to a degree in the same field, usually another 2-3 years...

you cannot enter a degree with spm...you need a period of further studies, generally called pre-u....unfortunately in msia, there are multiple pre-u pathways....

stpm, matrik, asasi/foundation, a levels, sam/ausmat, canadian pre-u etc are all pre-u programmes, which allows one to enter a degree programme at uni...

ipta ONLY accept gov pre-u, ie asasi, matrik, stpm....preference in that order....only apex unis usm and um will take in a levels students....

therefore doing a levels basically cuts you off from ipta...

yes, it's a preparation for a degree programme in uni, but not everybody will qualify....and in any case, ts, whom i believe is a non bumi, is NOT eligible to enter asasi anyway, so no point talking about it.....

Nottingham and monash is okay. Just that the fees are quite expensive. If u can afford it, then why not.

I compare with other ipts like imu or ucsi ,the price is identical.
Is it because they got some extra charge ?

Yup... I agree for the above statement..AND.. one more thing, the employer nowadays will see your university's reputation as well before they accept you to work with them. After all, it's up to you,,to which uni you wanna go and Focus more on what's the best for you.

This statement I do not agree.

I don't have a university to graduate from. All I have is a professional qualifications much earlier in my life and so far, was never turned away from a job offer.

So, nobody cares if you come from ABC as long as you are capable to perform up to standards.

Pharmacy graduates have issue to get posting; the current waiting time is 6 months. It will be more serious in future as government fails to control the number of graduates from private universities.
I would say it is not a good time to have that. Speaking of going oversea... the license isn't supported by foreign countries.
*
6 months was last batch.

This year's batch can expect from 9~12 months.

Next few years? Heard it's no longer automatic. Need to go for interviews and select random few out of the big group.

QUOTE(limeuu @ Aug 15 2016, 11:22 PM)
pharmacy is a regulated profession, and you need registration to work, and needs a compulsory 1 year pupilship....the problem is, there are too many pharmacists graduating, and thus not enough pupil jobs....hence waiting list...

biotech is a non-regulated course, is not considered a profession, and hence there is no restriction on where and what type of job you can do.....
*
Hey bro, still around giving free "lectures" for people who don't use Google around here? biggrin.gif

The waiting list is a serious problem, just like the situation with the medical grads now. Sigh.
