Look up what credit hour means.

In one school year, you are expected to complete 30 credit hours. This translates to 10 courses.

if you can do year 2 at MCKL, then go and do it. Though ask if they have had experience transferring to Memorial/Canada
*
I went to mckl uni placement to ask about credit transfer but the staff told me I can't credit transfer and I still had to do two year of adtp in mckl .the staff told me that I might not be able to credit transfer to the last two year as well .besides, the relative who want to give me a loan only intend to loan me for local university.

He suggested me to take acca program as he said it is dirt cheap (20k for whole course ).Now I am trying to apply mckl-ucsi trust scholarship for medicine course .

Please go for pharmacy/Medicine

Bio-sciences are a tough industry to be in...

Yes IPTA is in fact competitive. The bar is high to get in good programs even in Malaysia.

ACCA is cheap but graduating on time is a different story, and you might not like the life of an accountant/auditor

Please plan accordingly and see what you want to do with your life... <<-- Important

Yes ,i gave up the Biotech course ady and since taking medicine can be a geneticist as well so I might take medicine course in ucsi (if can get 100% scholarship ).

ACCA acts as a back up for my undergradute course since my family only can afford this course.I talked to some accountant and I find the working life as accountant is not really acceptable for me because it is stressful (especially for auditor ).Doctor is stressful as well from what I observed from my aunty but I think if it is my interest I should able to bear with this .

Based on your post ( Pardon me if I judge too early ) but you seemed clueless in what you want in life.

By the time you grad, there might be no more placement for medical grads already..

Did you bother to google https://pagalavan.com/ that explains the rough picture of the current situation in M'sia?

ACCA should not be your backup. It's a tough professional qualification and the life is not easy after that.

Audit's lifestyle could be worse than a doctor's life, working till 2am every day during peak seasons if you are unlucky.

Sidenote : Accountants are not Auditors. Don't ever tell an Auditor that or they might strangle you tongue.gif

Interest can only go so far in life nowadays. I have a close friend who's super interested with medical school and yet he can't pass 3rd year regardless of how hard he tried.

Ended up doing something else and was happy ever since.

I know the graduates for medicine course overflow ady,so do pharmacy.Biotech graduates usually work as a salesman or lecture.I am not interested in engineering or business as well.I will take medicine course if only I can get the scholarship or get offered by usm/um

ACCA is not actually backup but is like final choice since it is cheap. My classmate's father told me that accountant graduates are able to find a job easily. It is probably the best choice if I am interested in accounting. Currently my family only have he financial ability to let me study this.

I know auditor and accountant are different.Based on what I heard from an ex-auditor he said it was quite relaxing in normal days but when the report needed to be made it is stressful. What does your close friend study now?

There are no scholarships for medicine in ipts....it's the most lucrative of ipts courses and they want your money, not give you money...

4a without any stars unlikely to get into apex unis....in any case, have you done the um qualifying test?...

Geneticist? No, taking Medicine will not make you into a geneticist.
Even a biotechnology program might not offer enough genetics papers to give you the knowledge.

Not necessary biotech graduates will end up in sales or teaching. There are vacancies related to RD/technical support if you look hard enough.

Find job? Yes.. How good are those jobs? I have no idea laugh.gif

As for the auditor part, in Big 4, entire year is considered very busy unless you are useless. Managers tends not to take staffs who can't work, thus reducing your workload compared to capable staffs who are usually booked to the max most of the time....

For small firms, you might have that kinda freedom but you will be making peanuts for a foreseeable future..

My friend went ahead and do marketing. Now work for MNC and doing quite well after leaving medical school biggrin.gif

Um has started an aptitude test for potential medical students, similar to the Australian UMAT/ISAT and the British UKCAT/BMAT...nothing to do with your a levels....if you don't perform well in these tests, getting 4a* will not get you a place...

TS, you seem to like to get spoon fed instead of finding things out for yourself. When working, you can’t ask so many questions just because you “don't know” when the answers can be searched by yourself. Your seniors will help you the first few times, but in the long run, don't expect to be promoted.

This kind of independent spirit should be honed throughout your O A Levels, which you should already have.
