Nah, I don't want to manage another thread already, I had enough of them, people don't bother to read first page anyway, they prefer to ask here straightaway, if you have any useful info to add, just PM TS directly, I am pretty sure he will add them when he got free time.

Apparently NZXT S340 casing has been selling like hot cakes, Idealtech is out of stock and it would take sometime to new shipment to come in.

terence_nwb, do you have another suggestion or a casing with similar design like S340 with the PSU shroud and good cable management with the same budget? Thanks.

CM MasterBox 5, around RM 400.

Phanteks Enthoo Pro M, around RM 380 (not available at Idealtech).

Or get S340 from other shop if you want to keep within the same budget.

hi terrence

psu mod

im thinking of modding a old free psu to power DC stuff like cordless drill or a dc fan, dc motor,

if my psu has 2x 12V rails but are say 15A each (each rail will provide 180W) that should be enough, but to be safer can i loop both 12 v rail together in parallel? so it will be 360W ie 12V with max 30A?

or is it possible to put 2x old psu in parallel each psu only has 1x 12v 15A? combine then together 12V and 30A max

I assume 3k is just for the rig and you have a separate budget for the new monitor if you are going to change it at the same time.

This is a "all-in" build which aims to get the best gaming performance out of your budget.

Intel Core i5 6400 - RM 773
Gigabyte H110M-DS2 (D4) - RM 276
Kingston 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 147
Zotac GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 Mini - RM 1219
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 209
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 188
Tecware Alpha - RM 199

Total: RM 3011 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

This is a more "balanced" build with SSD included.

Intel Core i5 6400 - RM 773
Gigabyte B150M-D3H (D4) - RM 379
Kingston 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 147
Sapphire RX 470 4GB GDDR5 Nitro+ - RM 989
Kingston SSDNow UV400 120GB SSD - RM 165
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 209
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 188
Tecware Alpha - RM 199

Total: RM 3049 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

If I were you, I will go for first option since SSD can be added separately later on when we have extra funds for that.

Well, the monitor is included together with the RM3000 budget.

For the SSD, i am buying separately from my budget since they've been getting cheaper these days and easy to get despite the amount of space they can hold, so i have no problem buying it separately.

Otherwise, the rest is absolutely fine for me although the GPU is a little bit pricey, going up to RM1200+ although its performance is really good compared to lower series.

I'm going for the 1st option, since again, i am going to buy SSD separately from my budget. But thank you very much for your help and taking your time to respond!
