New to this as well...

So Season Pass is already available to OneXOX users?

The promotion for SP D1 8GB, I can't seem to find any expiry date for this promo. Is this also available already? smile.gif

Am I right to say that, apart from being able to share the pass contents with other users, we can also use them ourselves. Example if I want to use data, I just need to subscribe for the desired one ... or is there a special code for me to extract (for self-use) from the Season Pass instead of ending up paying extra for the data I want to use?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. nod.gif

It'll work just fine

Edit: I'll take that back for now..
Seems like it's not working well (not sure only just me, onexox users, or all users)
My balance doesn't show and a few functions doesn't work...
But i've been using the apps for a while..

AFAIK, XOX Mobile used to have its own prepaid plan which is now no longer available but there are still people holding on to this plan.

OneXOX is a newer prepaid plan, still no extended validity available up to now, but Season Pass was made available recently.

Like to ask if we're allowed to buy more than one Season Pass packages, and if so, will the packages just add up to a grand total to be used normally?

Example, if I purchase SP C1 and SP D1 to give me a grand total of 10GB, 350 mins, and bonuses of 50 mins and 50 SMS? smile.gif

what is this MA & DA thing? Want to MNP for 28months but since only this package available now. Last time got XOX prepaid. Anyone can summarize the main purpose of DA & MA thing. What I understand it's some sort of wallet with different call/sms charge?

It's don't. I understand it's come with 2 account, with flexible to switch. Why need to switch? Seems like DA more cheaper. I dont understand the basic principle between this 2 account. BTW, it's only got 1 simcard and 1 number only right?

1nexox is mobile operator with mlm style business. Joint onexox as dealer for RM278 and start your downline. DA/MA is insentive to keep user topop single RM50. User got cheap rate, dealer got 15% + and naik pangkat. Without DA/MA how many downline will topop RM50 ?

Rancanglah pembelian top up anda selepas ini! Sila rujuk PELAN & PERKHIDMATAN untuk gambaran lanjut.

After buying a couple of Season Pass for data, I noticed that my MA has become zero balance.

I understand that to make use of this Season Pass data balance, I just need to subscribe to a mobile internet pack. Will having a zero-balance MA disallow me to do the mobile internet subscription? ohmy.gif

I think I understand so far.. Usually billing system using keyword like wallet or bucket for something like this. Account usually means 2 separate entity.

Another questions, "With flexibility switching between MA & DA". Does it's come with flexibility? I don't things so. It's based on reload amount not that you can choose how much going to DA or MA?

Just check with you all the XOX dealer, currently what type of SIM card for the XOX?
I'm currently using the old Xinxun SIM card, planning want to change the new SIM card due to future devices will only support micro or nano SIM card.

Currently, is it mostly XOX simcard all in one with normal SIM with micro and nano SIM card ready? If do so, this will very very convenience to us to swap any devices between nano SIM to micro SIM or normal SIM card in case the new device has some problem. I don't like use manual cutting SIM card as it sometimes will cause unable put back to micro SIM from nano SIM card.

Anyway, you can also screenshot the current XOX simcard for our information.

You can either choose micro or nano sim card.
If wanna switch between nano and micro, get nano instead and use micro sim adapter.

Yes, we can use the 3rd party micro sim adapter.
But sometimes I experience help my friend put the nano sim with micro sim adapter, it is quite difficulty put the sim card (with micro sim adapter) into the SIM slot tray. Keep drop off the sim card during the SIM card in the SIM slot tray insert to the devices. doh.gif

Any recommend micro SIM adapter? Some 3rd sim adapter really lousy. blush.gif

Some 3rd sim adapter really lousy. blush.gif
*
I have no such issue though as my phone uses slide-like sim card holder like iPhone.
I always go Taobao for the adapter. Choose the most popular one. cool2.gif

I use the likes of the Noosy ones that have a plastic backing. Stick a little piece of thin double-sided tape before placing the nano SIM on.

Tried the yellow packaging aluminum ones which may be slightly thinner overall, but once you remove the SIM card for any reason, the sticker at the back will often crumple up.

Just now I check from XOX, no more XOX prepaid plus.
If port in to XOX Prepaid plus, still eligible to get this plan?

Not interested of OneXOX Plan as their call and sms rate (main balance) a bit higher than prepaid plus plan.

i am new to xox, about the season pass, i read this t&c:

5. What is the validity period?
The validity period follows your current XOX Prepaid Plus subscription.
*For new Prepaid Plus user, you’ll need to subscribe Data M in order to utilize the data you purchase from Season Pass Package.

which mean this season pass can last for 28 months validity ?
if yes, how to subscribe the Data M and how much does Data M subscription cost ?

Since you're new to XOX, the prepaid plan you'll get is OneXOX, so you don't really need to bother about the clause about Prepaid Plus.

The Season Pass that you choose to buy will follow the validity of your card, which is 28 months if yours is a new card or you've just MNP-ed over. Note though, for example, if you top up RM100 to buy a Season Pass the validity will be stacked so it'll become 28 months + 100 days > even longer validity! nod.gif

If yours is a Data Season Pass, all you've to do is to subscribe to one of these Mobile Data plans and the data amount will be drawn from your Season Pass. There will not be any deduction from your credit balance.

You can find more information of the Season Pass here. smile.gif

Weekly Season Pass data promotion (every Thursday) still quite expensive. How about if they make them at the rate of RM14/GB or should be lower than that.

3 minutes call deduct 96sen
Which makes it 32 send per minutes. Why so expensive one? I can't find their rate anywhere in the website as well.

Can clarify with customer care 12273/ online selfcare

Timer at handphone is different with server

If from ma account to different telco only cost 24 cent per minute

Tips for more saving: set as fnf or reload to have DA balance or buy season pass

OneXOX rates are multilevel. Depends on DA/MA balances ...

I can imagine the scenario ... Someone just mnp to onexox, it comes with RM5 credit in MA and starts making a call to an off-net number for 3 minutes and 31 seconds. The MA rate for off-net calls is 12sen/30seconds block. This translates to 8 (30 secs) blocks x 12sen totalling 96 sen.

In comparison, the same 3 mins 31 secs call to off-net with DA balance would cost (8 blocks x 9 sen) 72 sen. While an on-net call (with DA balance) for 3 mins 31 secs would be ((4 x 7) + (4 x 8)) = 60 sen.

Looking at FnF (limited to 10 numbers) rate, a 3 mins 31 secs call would cost (8 blocks x 6 sen) 48 sen.

To be fair, oneXOX MA rate is equivalent to existing prepaid plans from Big 3 telcos of 12sen/30sec block. The Big 3 telcos appears to have standardized the rates at 24sen/minute calls and 12sen per sms.

The cheapest prepaid rate to all networks is still Umobile power prepaid at 6sen/30secs block (but coverage may be an issue to some). Second cheapest would be SpeakOUT at 8sen/30secs block. Third would be Umobile older "new" prepaid plan at 10sen/30secs block. All plans mentioned is still available now.

Has anyone noticed that Umobile has quietly revised their rates from 5sen/30secs to 6sen/30secs now? ..... Let's see how long can they maintain that position before revising upwards again .....

I am more positively inclined to onexox ever since they start offering extended validity and season pass. It is a good move and I believe that the next progression would be to just consolidate the DA/MA rates into one very competitive calling/sms rates. Forget about 5sen for 1st 10 secs ..... I already tried making under 10 secs calls which fails miserably most of the time.

On average... 1/3 of my calls every months falls within the 10secs block...
It depends on the person, I think... smile.gif

And btw... hangs up around 7-8secs when making calls as the counter (on the server) are still ticking for ~1-3 secs before the calls are completely disconnected...

Season pass data will valid until 28 months

Season pass is place to store data

In order to use the season pass, need to subscribe to any standard internet package which mostly valid for 30 days

So in another words, data season pass + standard internet package is actually more expensive monthly? Can quote some example with RM for 1 GB here?
*
After you've bought a Season Pass package, it will be valid as long as your OneXOX line.

In order to draw data for usage during this period, you just have to subscribe to a Mobile Internet pass. The data will be drawn from your Season Pass and you'll not be charged (again) for that.

Therefore, only pay when you buy the Season Pass, don't need to pay again when you draw the data to use later.

Means monthly data promo RM 28 per month. 1.5GB.
Season pass is RM 109.90 for 8GB. For your season pass to work, you need to pay RM 28 per month?
*
Buy season pass 8GB = RM109.90 (1GB +- RM13.70)

In order to use the season pass quota, need to buy any standard data plan (1.5GB is promo plan)

Eg: want to use 1GB from season pass, just buy 1GB standard data plan

Then 1GB will be deducted from season pass quota, no credit will be deducted

If not buy any standard data plan, the season pass will remain following credit validity which can last until 28 months

Fyi 1GB standard data plan is RM38

Got season pass happy hour every thursday

Like I said already, it's too complicated. That's the only reasonable conclusion when you see how many questions have to be asked and we are still half clueless.

Having to buy a standard package, without paying for it, in order to use something else we did pay for, is just bizarre.

The Season Pass is actually quite easy to understand.

Just think about making a big deposit (buy a Season Pass package) into your bank account (your OneXOX prepaid account). When you want to make withdrawals of smaller amounts, just use the same method as anyone who wants to use data - subscribe to the appropriate Mobile Internet/Data pass. The only difference is that you won't have to pay (again) for the (data) withdrawal.

I THINK OneXOX is just using an existing platform (as in the Mobile Internet/Data passes here) to work with the Season Pass feature.

Pretty straightforward, I feel, otherwise can always ask adiwarna here if you're unsure about anything. If you don't keep an open mind to understand something new, it'll just remain complicated if you choose to feel this way. icon_rolleyes.gif

Up to this point, I feel OneXOX listens to what users hope for. When I first got my SIM card, it's only for the 28-month validity. I thought then that their data packages were more expensive, but they started giving extras after. I was also hoping for Season Pass after looking through the XOX website, and it happened. Then we were wondering what's going to happen after the 28-month validity, and then they started having 6-month and 1-year validity extension. Which other prepaid card makes your data available for as long as your line? Not forgetting also that any subsequent top up you make will extend the validity even further, instead of just overlapping like the others?

Or choose whichever prepaid makes you comfortable. nod.gif

@RDoe

Thanks for the explanation. I think your bank account analogy may be simplifying it. Probably, because of my closed mind.

If I withdraw money from my account, I can spend it whenever I like.

Under the Season Pass, is not the data quota withdrawn subject to the validity of the standard package by which it was retrieved?

Anyway, I used UM and DG for data currently, that is enough rules and tnc to fill my mind.

Incidentally, last time DG had something called Store Reload (sic, Stored Reload would have been a better name), where you could topup today, but activate later when you need it. Not sure if it still exists, think there was not much user take up. It seems to be a similar concept to Season Pass except it is for top up instead of data.

Cheers

- Yes, so what I do at present is to see how long I need the data, then subscribe from there. At least with Season Pass I can subscribe to an estimated amount I think I'll need, then subsequently not have to worry about not having enough credit for said uses.   smile.gif

Anyway, I used UM and DG for data currently, that is enough rules and tnc to fill my mind.
- Too many changes from these cards lately that I've lost track of what's going on. Only know I've a UM card that gives double validity for topping up, while the DG ones I hardly use these days except for IIDIC. blush.gif

Season Pass allows substantial savings !

For example: A standard 30days 500MB plan cost RM18 per subscription. Normally, the amount RM18 is deducted from DA/MA credit balance when a subscription is made.

Let's say one purchase an 8GB data pass at RM109.90. So, 1GB now only costs RM13.7375 and so 500MB costs RM6.7077 ...

When one subscribes to the standard 30days 500MB plan, the 500MB amount is deducted from Season Pass, while DA/MA credit balance remains untouched. So a savings of at least RM11.29 (for 500MB 30days plan) when using Season Pass instead of normal credit deduction.

Anyone disagrees that isn't already a substantial savings ?

A rough probable cost breakdown for 1 year usage at 500MB/month :

RM25 for 1 year validity (can omit this if still have longer validity)
RM81 for 500MB x 12 months (6.7077 x 12 = 80.4924 ~ RM81)
----------
RM106
----------

IMHO, its competitive enough when compared to Digi Best Prepaid 2016 at RM68 for 1 year SLL with 500MB basic internet. The difference of RM38 (roughly RM3.166/month) for HS 3G/4G access is well worth it.

To help clarify, Season Pass remains valid as long as the account is valid. That means if your account validity is until 12/12/2030 then your Season Pass (if remain unused) lasts until 12/12/2030 plus 30 days grace period.

Telco wins as they get more of our money sooner. Same for the DA/MA relative proportion which is more favourable the higher the top up.

There may be good deals to have but the average user is not going to do the maths. Instead, they will more likely balk at a cost of RM109.90 for a season pass and not bother.

Good for accountants, too complicated for the average user (who will not be reading LYN forums).

Hi,

Just to clarify:

1) for data pass 8GB, If I want to use 1GB this month/30days, I will just need to subscribe to the standard package RM38 (but system will not deduct my Bal in MA/DA), it will deducted 1GB out of stored 8GB for my this month/30days usage. The bal 7GB will be remained untouched until the validity of my sim expired unless I subscribe again.
2) If next month I were to subscribe 1.5GB promo package that priced RM28, my Bal in MA/DA will not be deducted also, but will withdraw from the balance 7GB and become 5.5GB, the 1.5GB for my usage of 30days too.
3) any withdrawn/subscribed data will be forfeited after 30days validity if not used up.
4) the standard or promo package subscription are not renewal automatically.
5) the call season pass will need not to withdrawn by subscribing. Call pass will be last for as long as the sim active to call.

Anyone pls verify the above examples.

Thanks

All correct except no 2...
Season Pass cannot be used with Promotional Package.. just for Standard Package (@Pakej Biasa)
Subscribing to Promotional package will use your credit instead of Season Pass..

I was reading the Season Pass FAQ when I noticed this:

Once I have purchased Data when will the consumption period begin?
The consumption period will begin upon your next data usage/consumption eg when you purchase Data Package SP D1 (5GB) it will be stored in your XOX account, it will only be deducted once you have commenced with NEW data activation (daily, weekly, or monthly data plan).

*XOX Prepaid subscribers (#prepaidplus, High Speed Pack, Penang #1758, United Pack, XOX XinXun plan) have to follow current data subscription command i.e. DATA M500MB. ONEXOX subscribers have to follow their own data subscription command as well i.e. 1XD500

NOTE: Current Data Promo package is NOT allowed to consume from Season Pass. Once you activate Data Promo, it will deduct from your airtime as per normal behaviour.

According to the Mobile Internet Plan table, the following are part of the "Current Data Promo Packages"?

Data
PROMO 1.5GB 30days RM28*
Data
PROMO 3GB* 30days RM48*
Data
PROMO 4GB* 30days RM58*

And there's this under the table:

Fair usage policy applies
* This is a data promotion that starts from 24th June 2014. Plan will auto-renewed as long as there are sufficient credits in the mobile account. However, the plan will not be available for subscription after the promotion period. Data Promo 2.3GB is not applicable for subscription under Season Pass

BTW, before anyone asks .... I'm not 1XOX dealer ... Not even a subscriber (yet) ... but am surrounded by those who is either a dealer or a subscriber ... Admittedly, I am warming up to onexox due to season pass + extended validity ...

FYI, apart from happy hour season pass and also the advertised bulk season pass SP1/SP2/SP3, onexox dealers can also provide smaller volume season pass at 1GB/2GB/3GB ... Some dealers can also provide 4GB/5GB season pass at competitive rates ...

If what I've read from the XOX website applies here, then I'd say there's a minimum block deduction rather than the real number of seconds used. And yup, it should be deducted from the Season Pass if there's one.

I've learned something after going through the various telco websites - don't absorb every word I read because the terms used can get complicating. nod.gif

Anyway, I've bought a Season Pass package and subsequently subscribed to a 1-day plan. 150MB was drawn from my Season Pass, while credit balance was left untouched.

As mentioned earlier, I believe they use the existing Mobile Internet/Data plans to draw from the Season Pass probably just out of convenience, or maybe to avoid complications if they were to come up with yet another table.

If what I've read from the XOX website applies here, then I'd say there's a minimum block deduction rather than the real number of seconds used. And yup, it should be deducted from the Season Pass if there's one.
for short calls, it would be cheaper to use DA instead of seasonpass minutes as DA uses 30-second block but seasonpass 1minute block.

i was originally unwilling to commit rm109.90+rm10. thank you for trying.

i guess it would make sense if one subscribe to a plan with the smaller volume and longer validity.

OneXOX should also introduce normal data plan like 250MB/20 days or 600MB/30 days for moderately data user. So it convinience for those would like to 'withdraw' their 'data saving' from Season pass if they would like to use little data for moderately period. biggrin.gif

Which is actually the official website for OneXOX? I've been referring to the XOX one coz it looks official, and the information are laid out neatly for easier reading. The OneXOX one looks a little ... unofficial...? blush.gif

OneXOX is a mobile prepaid brand, whereas XOX is becoming mobile postpaid brand. biggrin.gif

@adiwarna, just wondering if you've heard any news about a possible extension of the promotion?

Understand the 28-month validity with RM10 reload is until the end of this month. Will they extend it again? smile.gif

Voopee looks interesting. I tested the app, could receive SMS, could make out-going call, but couldn't receive call. Still not sure how to resolve that.

The present rate is RM25.

Having said that, it's good to know that any top-up will extend this initial 28 months even further.

Unless you don't use the card at all over the next 2 years, it'll be quite a while before you need to look at having to pay to extend the validity.

according to xox dealers, only first time mnp is eligible for 28 months. subsequent mnp's of the same number wont get 28 months.

I know that but on onexox there are no capping. I have been 2 years with celcom. But never get speed as on onexox. Onexox give bettee speed and of course no "pay-per-use".

And OneXOX is not a MNO so what are you trying to argue here? TDD LTE incompatible network? Seems like your phone LTE support is terrible.

Yes XOX is not MNO, but why would it cost for data? So costly like XOX maintain their own network cool2.gif

And do you assume that everyone has high-end phone? E.g, Lenovo A916, Lenovo Vibe Z, and even Zenfone 3

You see, not many mid-end phones has FDD-LTE. Only some 'global models' or specific country models has this kind of LTE.

Altel is not MVNO. Most if not all MVNO data plan never cheap.
OneXOX business model is llike Tone Excel, Frenz Mobile or Best mobile - Prepaid That Pays!!!. The diffrent is OneXOX not force everyone join as dealer and come with *free* 28 month validity.

Caping huh? After used out normal data, get the basic quota. That's how you maintain your connectivity. Don't get me wrong, but OneXOX is not suitable to me as a main data sim card. Other than that, OneXOX is perfect biggrin.gif

This doesn't mean XOX blocks haram content, but it means that XOX has a Syariah standard on running the company. The pricing etc.

I finally tried the data. Not so good in KLCC and kota damansara area. My opinion is xox is only worth it for its voice and validity. Not worth it at all for the data as data are getting cheaper in digi and celcom. Xox should revise it's data plan.
*
Have u try season pass? Cheaper price. Apn already set to xox?

I am already using season pass. season pass is only cheap if u use very little data for its validity.  Eg. 500 mb per month can last u very long if u pay for 8gb rm 109.90. nowadays digi already offering 10 GB for rm 50 monthly. So anything more than 1gb of monthly usage is already not worth it. By setting 3gb monthly, u will be paying rm 41 for data. Might as well go for digi.
The APN will affect the speed?
*
APN should not affect if there's no wrong configuration. It's Celcom's problem actually

Is there a prepaid that can satisfy everyone's needs? Cheap data, cheap calls, cheap SMS, long validity, strong connection, etc?

Please share if you find it.

And when you do, I think the rest can either follow suit or close down. cool2.gif

Many telcos have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Xpax:
cheap data, strong connections

Hotlink:
strong connections

U Mobile:
cheap data, cheap calls, cheap SMS

Digi:
cheap data, strong connections

OneXOX:
cheap calls, cheap SMS, long validity, strong connections

Deduct from season pass

Advisable use till 100% & buy new data as the new data will follow new validity

Maybe I am too old or getting stupid but as a simple user, I don't get how the MA and DA works and for simple users, should it make a difference.

Keen to get a simple additional data plan. If its too complicated, many people will not want to buy in.

Disadvantages: your credit automatically splits out but you must use your main account to buy data

Isn't it better that the deduction is from the main account when you buy data? confused.gif

This way, you'll have a healthier balance in the dedicated account to make calls and SMS at the lower prices.

Ideally, data can be drawn from the Season Pass as we use, instead of having to do mobile internet subscription each time. I find it quite a hassle. sad.gif

Then, you should topup more than the data price since the credit has been splitted.

Wonder why xox support did not respond to my email?
I'd sent the equerries since Monday.
Just a simple thing to ask them any min stay period.

As friendimobile have 1 month min stay period.

They are quick respond in XOX Facebook page, try to ask at there..

However, I still like the old plan "XOX Prepaid Plus".
The new one ONEXOX kinda complicated, don't know why this company separate become "Dedicate" account and "main account".

In simple word, both account will still need to utilize, either you will outgoing call/sms and even purchase data.
Why make it like these 2 account? rclxub.gif
Feel stupid and make thing worse do like this... shakehead.gif

Friendimobile I will soon try of that, but the network sharing by U Mobile.
Somehow this Friendi only available max 3G only, don't have 4G yet.. doh.gif

Frendi, check more detail on here, http://www.friendimobile.my/

Basically, I like the active validity without keep reload every time..
Just make a call or sms or purchase data plan (either 1), the account validity automatic extend 60 days.
In simple word, no need to top up everytime.
You can easily access to the account to view your statement through online..

The rest exactly same as BuzzMe:-

Bad things are.... only 2G and max 3G coverage by U Mobile.
Exceed data quota, PPU charges apply..
No roaming for oversea include Singapore and Thailand.. (For Friendi) Not sure for BuzzMe...
Call rate totally expensive and UNACCEPTABLE for 18/sen all network puke.gif

However, I won't choose BuzzMe due to the account validity like current market in telco... RM 1= 1 day.
Some-more BuzzMe not so famous compare FriendiMobile....

Season pass validity will follow credit validity...if not activated, it will remain maybe up to 28 months (depending on ur credit validity)

buy season pass 1 time..in order to use the season pass need to buy standard plan (no credit deduction, only deduct season pass quota)

buy standard data plan is the way to use/activate the season pass.

season pass is place to store the data...can buy as much as you want & can share

Let's say you buy the latest Happy Hour Season Pass 2GB RM29. You'll get 2GB credited to your Season Pass "wallet" and have RM29 deducted from your credit balance.

You want to use data today, say the 150MB 24-hour one - http://www.xox.com.my/plans/mobile-internet/
- Send SMS code D100MB to subscribe
- 150MB will be deducted from your 2GB Season Pass "wallet"
- Nothing will be deducted from your credit balance - no need to pay (again)
- Your data will be available for 24 hours, then cut off automatically
- Any balance of the 150MB will be forfeited

You want to use data today, say the 150MB 24-hour one - http://www.xox.com.my/plans/mobile-internet/
- Send SMS code D100MB to subscribe
- 150MB will be deducted from your 2GB Season Pass "wallet"
- Nothing will be deducted from your credit balance - no need to pay (again)
- Your data will be available for 24 hours, then cut off automatically
- Any balance of the 150MB will be forfeited

Means that adiwarna will share the data to you with cheaper price. Any OneXOX can share data, but adiwarna chooses this as an option so thay anybody can buy data from him for a cheaper price.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know/remember when was OneXOX first launched?

Edit: Think I found the answer from Wikipedia. It's around April 2016, that XOX PrepaidPlus was discontinued.

OneXOX already in the market since 2013-2014 but quite not officially...
It's around 2014 when they got proper introduction to the masses...
During that time, old XOX plans are still in the market (Prepaid Plus)

Prepaid Plus (for new registration) has been discontinued since April 2016 and OneXOX's become the only NEW plan for prepaid segment.
(Old Prepaid Plus user still can use the old plan until they decided to change to OneXOX)

You're XOX user?
Just call 12273, talk to the CS, and they'll change it for you...
Just remember that once you've changed to OneXOX plan, you can't revert back to old plan...

Give better offer like Umobile

UMobile prepaid UMI50 giving total 16GB for rm50

Do shocking deal like RM30 for 6GB...like Xmas offering.. Whatever..

XOX can have all the bandwidth they want but underutilized it mean losing money lo.

Migrate to zero monthly commitment plan.
Love XOX 28 month validity... Only that.

But cannot happily use their Internet as it is still damn on high side.
Only by introducing attractive data pricing with unbelievable call/sms.
It will make consumer use frequently ,ONLY then the SIM will be more active thus providing good incentive to their mlm scheme.

From what I see... Many just MNP and park there for 28months

They don't have their own tower, therefore they don't have all the bandwidth. They(MVNO) need to rent network from MNO, which in this case is Celcom.

yes i know that but then i believe their bandwidth is underutilised.
if not,
why the half hearted attempt to sell Season Data Pass recently at RM30 for 3GB
their only selling point is 28month validity.

Majority user port there to hibernate like me which i port 28months ago one sim before following up with another SIm last year
i was tempted to buy rm25 for one year validity few days back but then out of the blue,Digi Ambassador have those Zero commitment for life which is God sent oppourtunity.

SO port out lo this VIP number sim.
Anyway still got one more XOX SIM hibernating.

i really wish XOX will do some "shocking deal"

What I mean is does onexox supports direct carrier billing like Celcom (https://www.lowyat.net/2016/99556/celcompay-now-available-on-google-play-store/) or DiGi (http://new.digi.com.my/services/google-play)

if you're passing this sim to your parents that uses not much, can consider friendi though (on 2g it uses Maxis) and for every call/sms/reload/ppu data it adds the validity by 2 months

What I mean is does onexox supports direct carrier billing like Celcom (https://www.lowyat.net/2016/99556/celcompay-now-available-on-google-play-store/) or DiGi (http://new.digi.com.my/services/google-play)

OneXOX does not have google play direct carrier billing.

Because they're MVNO. I've tried and it shows up CelcomPay billing instead.

We're on different league

Xox is just mvno, all price are subjected to mno approval

Umobile how much customers now?

Btw i got a lot mnp customers from umobile too

Xox also will give something when the target is achieved
*
1. OneXOX is a MVNO riding on another MVNO. It is quite cumbersome that OneXOX have to get approval from XOX just to get additional features.

2. Officially, as of June 2015 Umobile have 4 million subscriber base. Unofficially, they're roughly now at 5 million plus (unofficial figure from unverified sources.)

3. Officially as of August 2016 XOX have 1.5 million subscriber base which of roughly 1.2 million is oneXOX plan. Of that 1.2 million OneXOX subs, 800K is active. (Ask uncle google and you can verify these figures.)

4. OneXOX caters for different market segment which some people tend to forget. Their primary market is mostly malay semi-rural and rural areas. These are the areas that XOX themselves are unable to penetrate on its own.

5. Feature wise, most of OneXOX offerings right now goes down well to its primary market.

6. The only area where OneXOX will have to sit down and think hard is the data consumption segment. Do they want to optimize their bandwidth utilization or not (since very competitive rates is now being offered by the big 4 telcos) ?.

their only selling point is 28month validity.
I see it as more to it than the 28-month validity. The Season Pass that's valid as long as the card's validity is also an attraction to me, and so is the ability to extend (stack) the validity with every top-up. smile.gif

On the side, not having data roaming is also a plus point, especially when I've lost (mysterious) credits to both DiGi and Celcom so far. sad.gif

Season Pass is valid as long you still have the 28month FREE validity but ONCE after 28month...you will either have to topup or buy one year validity.
But Paying ahead for Good deal like the latest promotion 3GB for RM30 is like Touch nGo (you pay in advance)

mysterious credits missing to Digi/Celcom.....that i will blame it on consumer for not understanding what they do with their smartphone..or even sms..
SMS or even ads (smartphone) simply tekan only..ended missing "mysterious credits losses"

For Digi on certain Sim pack....to prevent mysterious credits losses...just sub IDD....No more missing credits
for Celcom...too many sms...claiming free draw...ect.. be very careful when say YES...i even have a FAKE celcom sms receive before.

XOX...Data 1GB for RM10 while Umobile/Digi having promotion RM28 for 3GB or 5GB....

to me XOX is more for your favourite Number hibernation.
Nowadays..smartphone without adequate Data is like expensive old NOKIA phone

If user is actively using the card, I'd say that the validity will definitely go beyond the initial 28 months. And it being a prepaid card, don't we pay in advance for all our data packages, regardless of the validity? I see the ability to keep that amount of data beyond those shorter periods from other telcos/cards, a plus-point. smile.gif

Ah, as for the mysterious deductions, something not everyone can understand until it happens to oneself. Ignoring such text messages or any adverts/promos, and not having data roaming activated at all from Day 1, etc etc, don't help either. There are so many discussions on this matter, and all we've been seeing are more and more excuses/suggestions from the telcos. Don't think I want to go on with these "how it happened" anymore. laugh.gif

Yup, to each his own, so just use whichever plan suits your needs. Even I have more than just one card for different purposes. I was just pointing out that OneXOX is more than just 28-month validity, at this point of time. smile.gif

Yes.. I am enjoying forever validity sim at DiGi now after hibernation for 28 month XOX.
All telco get new customer everyday.

Whether postpaid prepaid no difference to XoX as it give 28months validity.
I also Celcom postpaid previously who park and hibernate with XOX 28 months back..

Now I park and hibernate with DiGi..

Anyway I still got one XoX SIM park and hibernate .
For Internet data.. I use UMobile.. DiGi and Webe (waiting for sim)

Just imagine if XOX can give unbelievable Season Data offering for like 5GB for RM30.....right away I will unhibernate my XOX and buy kaw kaw multiple time.

For now... Have to contend with UmobileP98 30GB... Unlimited VideoOnz... Broadband DiGi 50GB...

XOX should try to do something about the Data Offering.

Actually.. XOX do offer reasonable Season Data pass... Bought before 10GB for rm90 or less.
Even drag my colleague to sign up with XOX.. 28 months back..
That time.. Buy one time almost 50GB Season Pass.

Before I port over to DiGi Ambassador.. I sell cheap cheap rm50 for 7GB to my colleague.. Yes.. He still with XOX.

Frankly speaking... Using data on XOX smooth for me... Maybe because it is underutilized and it is expensive which is why people use it as when needed.
Anyway XOX is ridden on Celcom network.
Should be ok.

it's okay if it's on 4g. But still slower in terms of latency compared to DiGi.

If Celcom is on 3g then it takes some time for the fast dormancy to transfer it's state to active. Saves battery but then the delay is annoying.

get 28 months validity...
correct

that 3 gb will last the whole 28 months?
Season Pass data can be saved / store for the whole active period of your line (28months+)
in order to use the data, you need to subscribe to any plan (daily, weekly, monthly) and the amount subscribed will be deducted from your Season Pass

don't need to topup again for 28 months
As long as there's credit inside... no need to topup

I'm credit card free for many years already. Don't need that "financial instrument" ne more.

Anyway, adiwarna is correct. Just call the bank CS to settle it.

this is what I'm experiencing as well. It takes a long time to connect even though the connection is stable.

Yes, it's not stable. And it's seems like you have VOIP service and only your connections connect well..
