airports generally are divided into 2 broad areas...land side which means areas open to everybody...check in, arrival wait etc....

airside refers to the secured areas where ONLY travellers can access....so generally means after security/immigrations....if you do NOT have a boarding pass, you cannot enter....and also, all staffs working in the airside needs passes and security checks....

technically, airside in international terminals also means OUTSIDE the country, as you have cleared immigration....

ppl has several lounges in klia2....at the landside, they have ppl gateway, and also manage tgm....and the newly opened aerotel and aerotel ppl....

at the ariside, they have ppl at l gates, wellness spa, and also manage the bar....

obviously for airside lounges, ONLY travellers can use....but the landside facilities, they do NOT insist you must be travelling to use...so many people just go use/eat....

if a card has restrictions, like 5 times annually, then it's ok, people will likely reserve use to when they actually travel....

ambank has no restrictions on how many times you use...

the main problem with both klia and klia2 is that, there is NO lounge available at the domestic airside...no space available...

   

Thanks for the detail explanation. This made sense esp like AmBank Signature VI where there is no restriction. Then people can go in the land side PPL lots of time.

Anyone know which card can enter this lounge?

At the beginning you sound so like a sales person from there. 
Anyhow it looks good. No need boarding pass to enter it via free card access, right?

Copy from PPL website sure sound like some marketing pitch. Yeah landside so no need boarding pass.

It's a matter of time before more banks remove the landside lounges from their list...too much abuse....

I think ppl/aerotel is shooting itself in their own feet by not being strict with access....if they deligently only allow bone fide passengers with boarding pass to enter, as is the original intention of airport lounges, then banks will be more willing, and it is a real perk... KLIA2 is unique in having landside lounges....

Thanks to Fruitie for kind advice, just use my Aeon Gold Card for first time at KLIA2.
- I have 2 Cards so i bring one of my friend
- KLIA2 got 2 PL. The new PL no Shower
- Free flow beer only
- Food nice

Nope the ambank signature card does not allow free entry for land side any longer. Sad but true.

ambank signature have unlimited access without conditions reinstated or still subject to minimum spending on that month?
previously i have both master and visa + another 2 supplementary cards that can get me 4 entries if i travel with my spouse.
effectively i think early this year there was a condition imposed?
was it uplifted?
am travelling in May so just wanted to be prepared.

All this while AmBank Signature VI/WMC doesn't require minimum spending unlike its commercial cards counterpart which now require at least RM 500 spending 30 days before/after for each visit, each card.

did not apply for their signature.
if i were to request for upgrade to signature, i need to park RM250k is it?
