Hey guys,

So my cousin has been a huge fan of the Rolex Submariner and I followed him scouting around for its price and realised that the date version goes for approximately RM33,500 while one of the dealers around KL quoted us RM35K.

Hence, he decided to go ahead with the Submariner no date version which retails at 27k++

Though I have a question, would he be able to use nato straps on the "no date" version ? The dealer claimed that the lung of the submariner no date is the same with the date version hence nato straps could be used.

Could I please clarify this with you Sifu's over here ?

Thanks!

still over the moon on my last purchase. As much as I'd like a GMT BLNR, it's hard to come by. This would do for now.
Some new pics taken last week, was thinking of changing to a brown leather strap.

shankar_dass93 NATO straps come in various sizes; just need to find the right width for your watch. All Subs have the same lug width; think 22mm straps will fit the Sub.

Apple_DarreN man, that blows. From experience, it is infinitely difficult trying to get FB to respond- whether for troubleshooting, or even reversing incorrect decisions. I am in a similar boat myself with FB, albeit not as serious as your case. Considering FB owns IG, you may have trouble trying to get in touch with the folks behind IG. Good luck, bud.

Kelvw beautiful pics and thank you for sharing. You have captured the brushed finish very well. So well that I actually went in to an AD over the weekend to have a closer look at the Exp2 laugh.gif

My GMT is likely gone tomorrow, so bids one last goodbye:

his trademark even if not valid internationally... is still valid on those sites like ebay, insta etc as they are hosted in the states.

basically up against a conman la, who doesn't seem to have anything for sale now... and is just trying to make a living from others.

but there is hope if u got the balls... like natostrapco won against the conman...and whose case u can bring up as supporting arguments to ebay.

His trademark should be valid in the US only

NatoStrapCo didn't win the case and most retailers in the state now have to pay that troll in order to continue to use the term "NATO" to sell their products.

What he's now is just a trademark ass clown troll, its not like he's doing it in order to get more sales for his shitty website but rather just for fun? If he is interested in pursuing his trademark claims he would bring them to court but he certainly isn't now.

FB page is still okay, I actually didn't publish it lol. Still waiting for Instagram's reply, whatever it is I just want the name back lol.

So much for capitalism.

Looks like they also applied for trademark use of the "Perlon" name.

Yup, paying them as per usage of the word

If you see the retailers they have it down the bottom of their webpage

" NATO® is a registered trademark
of International Watchman, Inc. "

stuff like that ^

setting up an own webpage shouldn't be a problem as we're out of the states. Ebay retailer's on the other hand have to resort to not shipping to US for the nato straps

Don't think they dare to do that to Omega, probably cause a bigger stir and they might have their trademark reversed. As Omega kaya can afford the lawsuit to counter sue

Crown&Buckle & NatoStrapCO has them listed, and a few other retailers

Thanks man. I was always eyeing on getting a Sub and my parents decided to get me one for my graduation. Really wanted the Submariner with Date but having it being priced about 6k over the No Date version just made me ponder if it was worth forking out that much of cash.

Had a teh tarik with my customer the other day where he mention that if you daily wear the sub its best to get a date one for the convenience of the function. But personally even if I were to wear it daily I wouldn't take the SubC Date as well, prefer the symmetrical look of the ND. Each to their own I guess, but ND less flashy so it's good for my age as well haha

Like those patent trolls, they only prey on people they know can't afford to fight back legally.

Omega will layeth the smack down on them if they even dare because they have a whole line of lawyers ready.

imo usually doesn't matter.
tho what would matter is if u don't wear everyday... and don't own watch winder... cos then setting date on newer movements quite irritating due to the fascination of quick-set hours...especially if u gotta turn thru like 2 weeks to set date... which usually equates to about 40-50 turns of the crown.
if no date, then no problem.

Was strolling at Midvalley after work and drop by at G factory.

As I was looking for a casual watch I asked what are the available rangeman models. The sales lady says this is bet seller I looked at it seems okay to me so I took it.

Worth the buy? Or being an impulse buyer? I was eyeing at the g steel actually.Attached Image
