what strap is that bro?
*
veg tanned leather strap, testing it out as QC for a week or two before selling them.

So far so good, now snapping a pic every day to see the color degradation

A little late but what not.

Still thinking whether to have them ordered.

Strap is made from genuine italian calfskin, this model is a tad thin and very soft (no/minimal padding)

Other sifu do give me some feedback, appreciate it notworthy.gif

how thin is thin? 2mm?
3mm still acceptable...anything less is zzz.
got any straight taper ones? ie. lug and clasp same width.
*
2mm. very minimal padding hence the softness of the strap overall.

Do have some as samples, the usual kinds that has a large padding in the middle and stiching on the sides.

if its going to be 2mm also, the nato leather gonna be quite thick under caseback.
i got one which i actually cut off the bottom piece so essentially becomes a zulu.
*
Yeah, I had a sample given previously and the leather was very thick, couldn't even flip it back to the buckle.

So sourcing better ones

thats interesting.
looks like the cyclops magnifying power has been getting lower...
*
I think the cyclops thing is a QC problem, some of them have ridiculously low mag and from what I read before that rolexforums is that you can bring back to SC and they'll change it for you.

Some of Rolex's rehaut engraving isn't straight at 12'oclock (senget), another QC thing

actually those still look quite low.
then again, the higher ones i think are vintage.
and at current magnification, really isnt any different from fakes now right? tongue.gif

Old vs new is understandable as the old rollies are really work watches and people actually dive with them (akhem, x macam desk-diver kita skrang)

The problem is now that since Rolex knows about this problem and yet provides free service to change them, why won't they remove them from ADs before selling them?

The first sub tt from the picture i posted look just like an awful fake lol

For those with small wrists, how do you store your watch in the standard 6/12 slot watch box? The pillows are quite big and will be too tight for the watches sized for 6.5 inch wrists and under.
*
Leave clasp open and wrap the bracelet with a microfiber cloth so the bracelet/clasp doesn't scratch the rear of the case

i dont understand. is it so hard to find watch repair shop ?
*
Don't think you can repair the rubber/silicone of the watch band. Replace yes but havent heard of repairing

i see, i think the current version around rm10-11k
but should be worth it waiting for the new one
i tried the red and the blue version,
i always thought the red (burgundy) one was the best version, as it is the model colour to get

but, after trying them both, the blue worked better on my wrist
*
Blue one seems better to match around with outfits. Red is a bit too flashy imo, not suitable for certain occasions.

Swap out the blue one with different straps & band and you got yourself a daily wearer.

Black one is nice with that touch of gold

replace wise I think you can drop by to Amcorp Mall, tons of watch shops there. Or Berjaya Time Square. But not much there compared to amcorp
