Inno3D also sell 7900GS with iChill technology. Why don't u buy it instead of ur current card? Just my thought..

There was no any available. I plan to change the stock cooler with a hand-made(modified s939 copper) one and put passive coolers on the memory chips smile.gif
The card has a lot of OC potentials, just needs better cooling. The core has no problems reaching 600MHz+, but displays corrupted triangles after few minutes torturing. The RAM has no problems reaching 1800MHz.
I tried to unlock the pixel and vertex units, but I didn't succeed. The core is G-71 Rev A2. Cards from BFG with the same core are unlockable, so it is the way to go if anyone plans to buy a 7900GS.

hmm.gif, you can enable/disable all features there, but i do recommend this

Anisotropic-Filtering = 16x (the higher the better)
Anisotropic mip filter optimization = Off (???)
Anisotropic sample optimization = Off (???)
Anti-Aliasing settings = 4x (the higher the better - remove jaggy-edge)
Conformant Texture Clamp = Use Hardware (???)
Extension Limit = Off (???)
Force Mipmaps = None (???)
Gamma correct Anti-Aliasing = Supersampling (better IQ - bushes, fence)
Hardware acceleration = Single Display performance mode (single display)
Negative LOD Bias = Clamp (???)
Texture Filtering = High Quality (i used to use this setting all the time)
Transparency Anti-Aliasing = On (better IQ - bushes, fence)
Trilinear Optimization = Off (???)
Triple Buffering = Off (???)
Vertical Sync = Force Off (you might want to disable it since it'll slow your frame rate a lot)

well, that's what i'm at ok...icon_idea.gif

Leave everything default except

Anisotropic Filtering = OFF
Antialiasing Settings = OFF
Vertical Sync = OFF

This will give you best fps, but lowest quality in games. smile.gif

If you want to make games looks better, just adjust AF and AS, but higher values will make your games more lagging.

smile.gif, please do note, that setting really work on mine (an overclocked CPU/RAM/GPU/Mem) if you experiencing bad FPS (Frames per Second), you should decrease AA and AF wink.gif

Some games have internal FPS display you can activate through command line. Generally I use Fraps, its great. However it can mess with your *ahem* trainers if you use them...

is there any way to repair a card which has artifacts when running intensive 3d rendering such as games and vista aero, without the need to RMA?? Reset the clock wont help...

most prolly
some of the parts on the card have malfuntion
phisically,
burnt-in but not completely burnt

so when under low load
these electronics part might do fine

but once under heavyload
the whole system is stressed
so to faulty part might show irregularity in performing the task

for self diy is near impossible
unless u have the time and knowledge to check all parts
on the graphic card it self
