exactly how would the house line fault be?

maybe you accidentally drilled the wall where the phone line resides in it? or maybe some mice chews 'em away like HuorEarfalas said? There are many possibilities smile.gif

If it is Streamyx,Jaring,Maxis or any else provider will have the same problems. Demaning customer like us just have to have a lots of faith.
Call the customer centre and wait, then wait, & wait, technician came home & wait, then he said to wait & wait again. That the typical Malaysia ISPs. What we can do? Just waitlah...

well atleast to me maxis is faster than any others. i called them in the morning saying that my phone line is faulty, within 4 hours they come to the back of my house, doing something to the pole. and the line is ok after that.

This is the problem! The maxis CSR keep saying follow the steps in the website (yada yada, direct connection, bla bla bullshi*). I believe it has nothing to do with the modem/router. The technician who came over also cannot do anything because he doesn't know what causes it to be like that. Looks like a dead end situation before I bombard their IT dept! Getting 128 Kbps of download speed is almost dial-up technology!! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

recently i just got myself the maxis wired broadband 1mb package for my home which comes with the zyxel modem and aztech wifi router. all seems fine. connecting using cable on my desktop is ok, wifi on my wife's laptop is ok. only problem is the wifi connection on my handphones. it detects the wifi, shows connected on the phones. but i can never go online on it. never understand why is that. then yesterday borrowed a linksys wireless modem. all working great. connections all fast and stable.

what i want to know is what settings do i need to change on the aztech wifi router to be able to connect through my phones? hope users here who had the same experience can tell me what to do.

Thanks in advance to all!

btw, it's for torrent.
