vlan should on WAN port. not LAN. LAn just a normal dhcp server

is USG alone good enough as a basic unifi router up to 800Mbps?
or need to consider better router like edgerouter or USG pro?

you may need go to device (click on it), setting> radio, then go 2.4Ghz under SSID, disable it.

Yes u can. Or better better yet on a headless server eg debian/ubuntu. Basically copy and paste 3 lines of commands and its installed ready to adopt devices.
