Hi good day to all and Happy Holiday smile.gif

Would like to ask anyone here who has bought/experienced or heard of product named Ubiquiti Amplifi Teleport?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVUntZQ3p00&t=8s

Correct me if im wrong (am not savvy in networking stuff) but this product is like a VPN but much easy to configure right...but is it possible to use it in Malaysia using Unifi network?

My idea (if possible)is to use Amplifi Teleport as a temporary internet solution in my kampong as i have Unifi in my house
- but services like Streamyx / Unifi is not available (yet) in my kampong
- other internet connection ie Celcom 4G is available but burning quota everyday is quite expensive and tried using DiGI Unlimited 150 but services is poor here)

If its possible,am planning like this

Unifi Network connected to Amplifi HD router -> Local kampong internet connection (ie Celcom 4G) -> Amplifi Teleport -> PC/Smartphone

[attachmentid=10257132]

I'm aware that there will be bottleneck in internet speed if i use Teleport (as it depends on the Upload Speed of home network and the local kampong internet connection speed)

Please kindly assist me if i have this idea wrong or any improvement can be made.

Thanks! smile.gif and sorry for the noob post

Not sure what do u want to accomplish here people do tunneling like vpn wise for accessing critical application , if your kampung got digi coverage just use the digi infinite plan i150 that is what i am using for my wife kg in bernam jaya, no fiber yet in here so use digi infinite with b618 4g modem can get 50 to 100 Mbps speed

this wifi device just broadcast wifi.. not doing any routing job.. so yes, u need a router...
mostly general consumer device are wifi router.. and they gives a lot of different in terms of 2 in 1 job instead of specific job...
*based on my own personal experience and testing for comparing...

Wanna ask. I have UniFi Switch 8 POE-60W. When I try to auto upgrade the firmware after downloaded it will show disconnected. But the internet still can pass through. when rebooted the switch it will go back to the old firmware and notify for an upgrade. How to overcome this?
Thanx.

You need to ssh to upgrade the firmware :-)

You can chat with UBNT live support

If you want use at home. UAP AC Lite just do.
If you want cover more coverage, get UAP AC LR / UAP AC M (more recent product) - antenna can be customized to provide more coverage
If you have more recent devices (any hardware with dual band support 5Ghz) and like watch movie over wifi / streaming / upload video, get UAP AC Pro (better bandwidth for 5Ghz)

as for me, i am using UAP AC M. Easy mount laugh.gif i use double side tape to stick it on wall laugh.gif

Guys... how do I setup the USG to be used for Maxis Fibre with TM BTU?

I've been trying to figure out how to set the internet VLAN to 621 at the USG LAN1 port, but can't...

Anyone got solution?
