Correct me if I am wrong Ubiquiti is a enterprise grade hardware/software but selling at cheaper price?
It's kinda hard to justify the price difference between these hardware and those cheaper Chinese brand.

is USG alone good enough as a basic unifi router up to 800Mbps? or need to consider better router like edgerouter or USG pro?

Hi, can i ask if i want to upgrade my current wireless AP, how to choose for a wireless AP?
I am leaning towards Ubiquiti because of it's POE functionality. The obvious recommendation now is uap-ac-pro but it's quite aged yet no obvious discount still.
I am using an edgerouter x now, using the POE to power a Mikrotik wireless AP, very aged now.
looking at current lineup would be U6-LR or U6-Lite, i think they might fulfill my needs. If i were to setup mesh network in future, can i use older AP that is running on wifi5 to link with newer wifi6 network?

QUOTE(adamjohari @ Sep 9 2021, 01:49 PM) Just go for the U6 versions. I managed to setup my UDM Pro yesterday. U6-LR is so good! Using 2, one at the third floor and another on the first floor. QUOTE(pandera999 @ Sep 9 2021, 05:25 PM) Yes, you can. no problem. Since i am living with a single mikrotik AP In my 3 storey house ok now. I have a feeling that 1 u6 LR mounted in a good position might be all i need. If really insufficient, then add another u6 lite. I have already got the ethernet cable laid.
