Yeah he took me out for a test drive. During the drive he also can feel the sudden power drop when changing gear but he just said it was like that. Maybe few weeks later will go COSE just hope no need to put there for a week. I did talked about the brake switch but he said there is no error code when plugged in on his laptop.

How about start up? Is the car feel underpower during start up and going up hill in parking especially RPM below 2k?
For gear change I seldom drive aggressive, so its pretty smooth in my opinion... even my passenger thought I'm driving a CVT because they couldn't feel the gear shifting

Just follow the recommended KPA... just watch out for many faulty air pump out there that releasing air/over inflating air in to your tyre

Not much power from start-up either unless it's over 2k rpm which risking my car rushing forward and hit the car in front. Basically it doesn't feel linear. It's either not (hardly) move or rushing forward, fortunately still can control the clutch pedal to make it a smoother start-up but it definitely doesn't feel right when driving it at low rpm and when want to accelerate.

Most drl is plug n play. Just that can't find suitable place to fix.
Those at signal type won't last

Guess fix those foglight with drl which cost around 3xx to 4xx

its about timing..the time u release the clutch with appropriate amount of revs will translates to power.. on the other end, if u failed to do so yup u will feel the car engine is underpower.. no available torque and sluggish

hey guys. been thinking for a while

currently at my home has my dad's Almera and my Iriz. Almera was paid by both my dad and older brother (RM730 monthly) and Iriz I paid it in full (RM474 monthly).

I plan to sold both cars and get Persona Standard instead. The Almera is quite under-utilized because my dad just retired, and my brother new job do not require him to use car that much. I use my car Iriz almost everyday

What do you guys think? Worth it?

*i also send same question to Iriz thread. hope everyone can give their opinion hehe

the salesman will sell the car at whatever value it have..then do a full settlement with remaining amount you have with the bank...

say almera sold for 40k
hutang bank 50k

u will need to topup 10k to for full settlement

or hutang is 20k

u will have extra 20k on habd

Did he tested the car before commenting it was normal?
For mine I just told them the problem and left the car there for a week then they came back with solution/result on every single thing I complained. By the way I serviced at COSE.

Before changing the stop light switch, my car required pedal a lot to go from a start with little slope like say traffic light on flyover and climbing up in parking to upper floor required pedal atleast 50% or the car is getting slower and slower even on 1st gear.

After changed, everything feels normal like other MT I used to drive, even the throttle respond is faster than Saga FLX MT

Hey dude, i was changed my brake switch this valentine's day, after switching nothing improved, the mechanic did changed a new brake switch for me, but dunno is their install no good or what when the way im driving home, the handbrake light suddenly lights on, when i reached home i off the engine and locked the car, i just realized the brake light (3 lights from behind the car) is ON, i have checked that the headlamp was off, so i called the mechanic and he told me to open the fuse box and pluf off one chip to shut down the electricity for the brake light, then the other day i went to the SC he suggested me to go to (Coz the SC i visited always is neaby my working place which is ss15, but i stay in cheras area), after checking and fixing by the SC he suggested, tha handbrake light no more on (when put down the handbrake), and the RPM still rise and slow accelerate below RPM2 (gear 1 and 2), nth change before and after sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

I wondered is it both the mechanic didnt place the brake switch correctly so that the RPM still rise and slow accelerate below RPM2 icon_question.gif

However he showed me something I always thought impossible. He changed to first gear and then full released the clutch at a decent pace without stepping on the gas pedal. The car engine didn't shut down and still slowly moving forward with both legs off the pedals. I definitely cannot do that on my 1992 saga which is a bit surprise to me.

LOL this one he's teasing you already.
Indirectly telling you that your footwork needs improvement.

Ideally, on any MT car (yes including 92 Saga), you can shift 1st gear all the to 5th without ever pressing the gas pedal.
Just by clutch alone, but at a certain pace laugh.gif

Got myself a set of aftermarket sunshade, one set consists of 4 pieces.
In the package has the clips(comes with double-sided tape to stick on the door panel, and clip on the sunshade), but I didn't use the clips as the sunshade are slotted firmly on the door. It doesn't affect opening and closing the windows.

Been using it for few days, I can feel there is significant less heat transferred into the cabin, especially on sunny days where the sunlight strike directly in the skin.

One disadvantage is it slightly affects you to look at the blindspot at driver window. At night, I'll take off the driver side sunshade to prevent blocking blindspot.

The price is RM59, including postage. I think it's a good alternative if you don't have budget for better window film.
