guys, i'm sure i'll be flamed for posting this, but..

welcome to the world of dashboard rattle club.

ps : test drove a persona today and the dashboard rattle exactly at the same spot as my Iriz; driver A pillar and radio.
*
my wife's car is different..it somehow rattles inside the door...that should be a quick fix because the wire harness inside the door is rattling...other than that..the dashboard has no rattles... i also notice that some owner reported that proton did relocate the wire harness insde the dashboard when they sent their car for service...

Hello guys... I've just received my car yesterday.. standard variant with manual tranny... so far everything is great... the gear shifting is a breeze.. tho somehow there is kinda shy shy hesitant at some point with the engine "prolly because the car is eco minded?" fuel consumption is great....

pros
1. silent engine
2 punchy tranny
3 fit n finish improved much more better than iriz
4 good absorber... felt soft n good handling too
5 body roll is there but minimal

cons
1 the rat is still there... can be solved..positive..hehe
2 seat cantbbe folded down...whyyyyyy
3 standard tire is too slim... not good for high speed drive..good for fuel

all in all? i love..yeah bits n bats there... but I'm satisfied

*
since there is no manual for premium..i had to go for standard.. n yes i didn't regret it at all... everything is there except for the bell n whistles.. the torques is generous.. btw its

205/45R 17 7.5 jj

here is the photo for refence.. can put four fingers even after I installed the rim in front... as for the back side 3fingers gap

I'm comparing between City and Persona 2016, I probably choose Persona due to more saving in a year in term of maintenance and installment. And I plan to change the tyre to 16 inch at the time I receive the car.
If consider maintenance, installment, insurance, for 5 years loan. I'll get min 6k saving if I buy Persona over City.
Any suggestion?
*
good move bro... im loving my persona more n more everyday
good drive great nvh... but dont expect to receive something perfect 100%

Bro i have gave it a hard thought throughout the night.

Buy City means buy pride, reliability, track record, slightly cabin space. comfort. But with that comes with a higher price tag and be ready for Honda's knife to cut our wallet.

Buy Persona means buy value car, easy on wallet and get a comparable features to City. The almost 20k gap really cannot justify it, and I heard some bad rumors about Honda cut throat servicing charges. Now Proton giving 3 years free labor+parts charges, this alone can already save thousands of ringgit. On the downside is... Is Proton reliable? My answer is... The quality can't be THAT bad, right. My target it to use this car for 5 years, and i'm willing to take the risk that Persona can last 5 years without giving me major problems (With consistent servicing of course).
My heart is still in dilemma now. But i can say about 70% of my heart ask me to go for persona due to affordability and i have a good feeling about this car. I test drove it, and it somehow feels like this Persona is really a huge jump in quality as compared to old Protons.

What about you bro? Follow your heart or wallet?  rclxub.gif

atleast 5 years right...that got u covered by warranty.... n 3 years of free service is an extra.. given that u didn't pass 60k mileage first... i think it's worth your penny...i am for now one satisfied customer... one some rattling prob which be settled during 1k service

Thank you for the reply brother. 60k for me i think can surpassed in 2.5 years because my usage is extremely high for interstate travels.

But apart from that, i think persona is a really good buy. seriously contemplating now to switch over from City (my mind was prepared for honda since months ago, until recently).

What was the rattling noise you faced? Any other issues?
*
just a simple wire rattling near the front window at the dashboard...easily fix by going to reputable sc..other than that...everyhting is smooth... btw if u want the free service please makesure to book before 30th.. then only proceed to loan ... ny other issue is i cant get over that it is a huge improvements to my wife's iriz.. proton should make a recall to make it as quiet as persona...hahaha
