QiW,

Just wondering why you bought the 4G3 instead 4#3b . The 4#3B more suitable for beginner and it's can some brutal abuse compare to 4G3 .

Added on June 1, 2009, 12:22 pmHitz,

I didn't mess up the setting once my sifu properly do the setup. I just charge battery and fly my compy300 v2 ,if raining i hover my neon fp inside a house but not compy300 v2 due to it's very high headspeed.

i oso understand the 4#3 is more suitable to crash and learn .. and oso much much cheaper to crash due to lower HS being an FP ..
but i was thinking ... since i am going to learn .. and willing to bear the consequences ... i might as well learn about CP straightaway .. no matter what i will be going onto the CP wagon so better start learn about the repairs and characteristics of a CP heli so that i will have a much easier time with bigger heli in the future (much lesser crash)

who knows ? maybe i might go buy a 4#3b later ??? hehehehe

You are in CP now, why still go back to FP? Sticking to 4G3 should be good enough~

mamak008 has good intentions for newbies and beginners like me ..
the 4#3B is more crash resilient and lesser parts to damage .. so in minor crashes most of the time u prolly will not have to repair or replace anything ... save on parts and down time lorrr

i have already stated my reasons for getting a 4G3 ... so i will stick with it ... i am supposedly learning thru the most difficult CP to learn ... so i take comfort in knowing that if i can fly the 4G3 ... everything else is a piece of cake .. hehehe

My sifu can fly 3D , but he's still fly FP around . He told me flying FP much relax and less tension and he really enjoy it and at the same time he like encourage more beginner start with FP without bleeding the wallet. So i'm not suprise Qiw will buy walkera 4#3b.

Qiw,

Starting with CP quite headache at first time but you will get use it once you master the repair and setting. My sifu told me setup and tuning is a foundation skill every r/c pilot mush have except to those each crashes send to hobby shop for repair and setting.

I think I shall consider getting 4#3B instead of 4G3 liao.....but the 4#3B is too small lar.......Like what QiW said, want to change part also sipek hard.....too small and difficult to hold....Maybe I have to get a magnifying glass and tweezer if I bought 43B smile.gif

Can recommend me any model that hv a same size as 4g3 or slightly bigger but must be FP one?

Maybe you can consider NEON FP . It's a Fixed pitch 4channel helicopter . It's pretty stable once once lift off and hovering.I'm currently use neon fp to learn basic hovering.

the 4#3 is about 1inch shorter than the 4G3 only .. but its lighter coz its a FP therefore lesser head parts

btw ... if u wanna know .. the 2.9g brushless motor on the tail is damm kow good .. hehehe
altho i never actually flew the thing long ... but hold in the hand can feel the power of the motor when throttling up without flying liau .. much much much better than the ori brushed tail

hi to all! im new to this and i never had, tried, touched, any of these RC helicopters before, but the one thing that intrigued me the most is, how do these RC choppers maintain its 3D flights? especially flying upside down? i just saw one video of lukas riva flying his trex 700 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pjjC83PTJQ) and its unbelievable. can anyone enlighten me regarding this please? the physics and aeronautics of it, thanks! i tried googling but only come up with videos and guides where they just teach or ask you to try with simulators but didnt explain why or how, wherelse most would say its impossible to fly a helicopter upside down. but the video showed otherwise.

thanks btw.

added: oook, i found my answers. http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15900

thanks anyway.

in RC or unmanned simulations ... we can do alot of things that manned ones cannot do due to safety reasons
also power to weight ratio and other factors ...
having said that ... i am sure todays technology are able to create REAL HELIS that can fly like the RC ones .. but for what purpose ?? cost vs benefit cannot justify .. and 5-10 mins flight time takes u nowhere ... hahahahaa

welcome to the rc heli world ... i am a newbie myself but i am taking the initiative to learn whatever i can
crashes and repairs are part of the hobby .. unless u are god gifted genius with rc helis laa .. hahaahhaaa
do not be afraid to ask ... well .. u will not get much answers here but there are alot of other forums where ppl are more technical and knowledgable and willing to share
LYN is more of a local share share whatever u can place i suppose tongue.gif

good luck and happy flying !! hehehee

ya .. alot of local sites oso ... but alot of them oso not quite active unless u look in the classifieds .. hahahahaa

hmmm ... lets see ... now i am going to redo all the wiring of the add ons in my 4G3 coz it looks so messy under the canopy ... so today maybe go hunt for small heatshrinks and super small wires
dont really like the wires that came with the BL tail .. the EXT pot contact no good .. thats why the servos not working properly .. need to go get some contact cleaner oso ... but at least nothing spent to buy parts .. hahahaa

Added on June 2, 2009, 9:48 ameh kenny ... u bought the reflex with the dongle for rm130 ah ??
that dongle can plug in walkera/dx7 without buying additional accessories one or not ??
