Anybody experienced buying tyres from Lazada before? The price comes with installation but they don't tell you where the workshop is (probably afraid you will go direct). How to buy without knowing where to install? If they give you a place very far from your location, die lor. Furthermore are the tyres actually delivered to you or you just go to the workshop and get it installed? There is a courier charge for the tyre which seems to  imply it will be delivered to you first. Very confusing!

Better to just go to tyre shop and get it. At least inclusive of workmanship.

Why wouldn't they produce more soul red leh? i think it willl be a very popular colour choice rclxub.gif

Agreed. If soul red was available for CKD 2 years ago Bermaz would have sold many more cars.

Ya, but Lazada has a wide range and prices are reasonable. Tired of getting chopped by the tyre shops who keep saying this not available, that not available and what's available are the expensive ones.

Any recommendation to replace our Mazda 3 GL tyre which is a Toyo size which is not available in the shops? I find the original Toyo tyre very lasting. Usually I replace tyres every 2 years. Now 2 years have passed and my tyres look like it can still last another year. Amazing!

Toyo Nano Energy 3 205/55R16. Can get cheaper than Lazada?

Actually it does say the seller's workshop is SJ and delivery not available so maybe I worry about nothing.

Yes, I find it very lasting too. Noise is not the best but that's the price you pay for long lasting tread. Those who want low noise can go for Michellin or Yokohama but don't complain if the tread wear out fast as they are made of softer rubber.

I think this car need better brakes. The brakes as merely passable when all seat are loaded, but require noticeably more pedal effort to slow down. The irony is, all five of us in the car, on average didn't exceed 60kg.

Seeing that the rear brake disc diameter is lesser by about an inch compared to the fitted dust shields, i wonder whether we got short changed a little on the brakes...or is it because of the tyres after almost 45k km....

Hello...my advice is to change tyres soon...u r tires are the only contact between u and road when u are travelling.

As long as u feel the grip is not there and not u r brake pads...not necessary to reach safety marker..then change.

My personal experience...from tires that cost rm600 to a repair of rm5000 and not speeding... Not worth it.

I was told the new face-lift M3 SCBS can only support from 10-30km/h instead of maximum speed of 80km/h despite the brochure given by bermaz states 80km/h?
Is it true?

SCBS and SBS are separate tech.. SCBS operates at low speeds from about 4 - 30km/h.

i think the 80km/h only give alert and not emergency brake, maybe you can have a look at the user manual to see if you able to meet the condition for the safety system to work

this is the problem with bermaz, they don't know what spec in the car that they are selling.
A will tell you this, B tell you that, at the end you also don't know who is telling the correct specs.

Most sales advisors are like this unless those really experienced old timers. Further, this type of feature is relatively new in the market, the advisors may not have a proper understanding on it. Another thing is that 99% of them have not experience these features activating as the risk of damaging the car is too high to swallow.

The website is usually correct, and you can watch youtube videos regarding how these autonomous systems work. If you want accuracy, you can specifically choose such official videos posted by Mazda themselves.

Sales Advisor should have gone thru training before the launch of the new model. Unless they are not paying attention in the training or the trainer also blur blur never explain in details to SA.

Website? Mazda 3 information not even updated in Mazda Malaysia website until now since the launched of Mazda 3 GVC way back in end of April, don't talk about the rubbish website.

Is the FL Mazda 3 equipped with the SBS (Smart Brake Support)? According to Mazda website:

Using a millimeter-wave radar Smart Brake Support (SBS) is capable of detecting vehicles and obstacles as far as 200 m ahead. When a risk of collision is detected, the system slows the car via a two-stage brake operation.

SBS aims to help the driver avoid or reduce the severity of collisions, particularly when driving at mid- to high speeds (between 15 km/h and 145 km/h), by automatically applying the brake if there is a danger of collision.

Also, the SBS is coupled with the Distance Recognition Support System (DRSS) that visually displays the distance to the vehicle ahead and Forward Obstruction Warning (FOW) that warns the driver of a risk of collision with the car ahead by alarm and a warning light on the meter. These systems help the driver to maintain the safe following distance.

I don't see the DRSS on the GVC Mazda 3.

Yes, they should, but if you try speaking to a number of them, more than half can't really answer you in detail. Further, this model is still relatively new, they'll need more time to get familiar with the car.

You have to remember that most of them are sales background, hoping from industry to industry or brand to brand. Hardly can find someone who is really into car knowledge as they view their position as temporal and will just switch if the trend/industry goes against the brand they are working with. Unless they themselves are car enthusiasts, their car knowledge will just be slightly better than normal layman.

They are there to grease the sales experience. If can buy car online without going through these sales advisors, most car enthusiasts will go through this method after test driving it, as they know the specification, just want to have a feel of the car before purchase.
