I think space requirements in the coming few years should be a major decision driver in your case.

I drive an M3 hatch and find the boot space to be unimpressive.
I struggle with 4 adults and luggage - one of the bags will have to travel at the back seat.
Golf bags are also an issue for me. I usually have to put down one seat for it to fit.
Child seats may be an issue, depending on how far back your passenger seat is pushed to.

I fall into the family with young child category, and find the 3 to be too small to be my primary car.

And of coz a good sales rep should have good product knowledge including solution to the existing problems. Never know walk in customer would ask the same question too.

And also we're in the open forum we can seek answers or even better answers from many other people or owners other than sales rep. Sometimes owner's experience > sales rep. For the love of Mazda in this thread, many ppl would love to share the unbias information. Sharing is caring.

Actually I met a service advisor that acknowledges the issue...went into detail about product and prototype development and production conformity standards dependent on human intervention.,.

Different people different background,,,I m from engineering based..so work expectations is different,,, potential customer's post questions...you either know solutions or don't.,, not in between...and silence is not a solution.,like lucifal with Mazda logo from Mazda SG besi...Best part no one answers on your behalf..

agree, even if they don't have the knowledge or not sure about it, being in the service line, to provide good service, should clarify with their expert, find out and get back to customer.

IMHO, that's the expectation of consumer nowadays, or at least that's my expectation.

Actually not to defend the sales advisors, but it's kind of hard for them to openly acknowledge flaws of their products in a public forum. They may be more open when approached in person.

User feedback is usually more reliable.

Despite me being the owner of a mazda and quite a fan of it, based on your potential budget, I would suggest that you also take a look at the upcoming new Hyundai Elantra or the just announced Kia Optima GT. Don't close off options unless you're dead set on it.  :thumbsup:

Unfortunately Labuan doesn't have a KIA or Hyundai showroom Otherwise I would keep my options open. It would be quite. A hassle just to go Kota Kinabalu to have a look. And I have a feeling the same waiting list will be quite long for the KIA

Raytech, huper optik or maybe wanna try haverkamp...

btw, anyone tint their headlamps to prevent 'yellowing' effect...it happens to all cars..moreover I have to park this car outside the home...

I got 2 dogs and I prefer the dogs to run free in the compound and car scratches would happen indefinitely...example chasing anything that moves..
