2016 already and people still never learn, still want to convert the announced SRP for upcoming graphics card to MYR with exchange rate.

Your best bet to avoid disappointment is to multiply it by 5.2.
SRP x exchange rate x 1.3 (add 30%, at a bare minimum).

That means it don't have a 3GB version

Lol they already know people won't get 2 of these instead of 1x GTX1070 that's why they don't put SLI on GTX1060. With this kind of pricing, GTX1070 sales will increase. NVIDIA StrategyWorks.

I remember the 4850 is around 600-700 RM. Maybe less? 4870 is slightly over 1k.
Both are 199 / 299 card. The exchange rate at that time 3.2/3.3.

It was a response for not having SLI fingers. I don't think 3GB cut it these days with games eating VRAM for breakfast even at 1080p.

That was the best time for PC graphics. AMD really did slapped nvidia. This is how it supposed to be to capture the mainstream market. Polaris is half baked attempt.

USD 379 x 5.3 = ~RM 2000
USD 449 x 5.3 = ~RM 2400

GTX1080
USD 599 x 5.3 = RM 3200
USD 699 x 5.3 = RM 3700

so GTX1060
USD 249 x 5.3 = RM 1320
USD 299 x 5.3 = RM 1580

You're right. your calculation seems more appropriated.

My guess would be around RM1400 to 1600.

unless set those game setting in medium and lower

yeah, force to set medium or lower setting like what my current r9 280 3gb vram
so is time to move to 1060 since I prefer single card rather than SLI / XF

That's a good price for GTX980Ti.



According to the video, before nVidia released GTX1070, nVidia mentioned GTX1070 was Titan X performance card.
In actual, it is faster than Titan X.
nVidia claimed GTX1060 is GTX980 card. Well, there is a possibility it can beat GTX980.

If this card is indeed a GTX980 performance card, with 20% overclock headroom, it could beat AMD Fury X @ 1080p.
And it could be very close to GTX980Ti.


So, it's a very interesting product. We keep our fingers crossed. Keep dreaming and drooling.

Even more pressure locally to price the 1060 now below that RM1789 price. GTX1060 now between 1299 and 1789.

but if the price RM 1789 then as everybody said, go for cheapest GTX 1070
