I come from vip5 and called tm to upgrade for 30mbps package since thursday last week. They said that speed upgrade in 24hrs. until now i still get old speed, 3.5mbps download speed, only upload speed increase to 10mbps, as per 30mbps package. Already called tm about this, they said they already done the speed upgrade, and asked me to restart router. I already restarted router many imes already, no increase speed. my bill cycle is already 30mbps. what did i amiss? sry for long post

You should restart modem instead of router isn't it? Unifi asked me to restart my modem but not router when they gave me the free upgrade to VIP10 for RM149

No worries. I had the same issue too when I upgraded from VIP5 to VIP10 in 2014. Only my upload speed had increased to 10Mbps while my download speed was still at 5Mbps. I restarted everything BTU, router but nothing helped. Called 100 and they reset my port but didn't help too. At the end, I insisted them to get a technician to check outside of my house which they did. After the technician done configuration near my house, he called if I was at home, he wanted to drop by to check out. That I was working and I told him I will check at night. Came back, poofed, everything is 10Mbps. thumbup.gif I called 100 again and told them I should get rebate for those days I didn't enjoy my VIP 10. Actually only less than 3 days I didn't enjoy but TM gave me 5 days and they still counted me as VIP5 user for those 5 days. tongue.gif

Get them for black and white on the no new contract refreshed. So far only free upgrades from VIP5 to VIP10 do not have their contract refreshed.

Most of us who are pioneer for Advance 30 also pay RM 179 for our 30Mbps.

TM called me and offer me that deal, this was back in April this year
got the black & white in the form of SMS from 62100
i've checked the bill, the price is maintaned at RM149 and speedtest got 30Mbps

but there's a catch that i've recently found out when I want to cancel my sportspack (rm30) since there's no more EPL/Astro SuperSport. I cant cancel it because TM said they have bundled it together as one package for me. This one they didnt tell me when they offered the upgrade to me mad.gif vmad.gif

I know. Like I said our Internet is also RM 149, nothing new. My question is did you have any B&W from them for the contract not refreshed thingy?
Well, HyppTV cannot be separated. It must come together no matter you like it or not. Maybe you can call to ask them if can shift to Aneka, Varnam or Ruby pack since all are RM 30 now.

Is IPv6 support important for Unifi users?
*
Let's put it this way. IPv6 is the next generation IP technology that will gradually replace the current IPv4.

IPv4 addresses are running out, in particular in Asia Pacific, there are no more available IPv4 addresses to be allocated to ISPs, result is ISPs are resorting to use private addresses (hence double NAT) which although works, is not ideal.

So is it important for UniFi users?? Yes & No.

No, because at the moment, the existing IPv4 network still works.

Yes - the transition to IPv6 has already begun and we should be gradually adopting it from now on as the day will come in the future when IPv6 will fully replace IPv4. So, why not start now, if you can??

Unfortunately IPv6 doesn't work well with some of my frequently browsed sites and apps. sad.gif No choice but to revoke back to IPv4...

Nope. Only Astro had exclusive right to broadcast EPL in Malaysia.
*
This is sad news, but I have hunch that this is coming.
Last years, only the not-so-famous clubs got broadcasted, meaning that one can't watch the top 4 clubs in action. And Man United, well, there's only the play-by-play commentary (something like Championship manager game) is available.

And now......... no EPL at all.

And it is replaced by Bundesliga, hahahaha. But the silver lining may be that F1 is available again. Not sure whether only the free oractise & qualifying, or includes the race as well.

Same like my sister's house. She's still stuck with 4Mbps Streamyx while the neighbouring residential areas already got UniFi. TM said her area will be up by end of the year. Let's see and she's looking forward to subscribing Advance packages.

Well, it may not take long. Sometimes just few days. Mine within 3-4 days. They will contact you for appointment.
