How does this work? If the driver is not aware of the promotion, then passenger won't get the discount?

Just register for both. Like me. Usually, I drive for Uber la, because more Uber rider use credit card....haha.

Try book one see you get discount or not, once board remind the driver that you are using Credit Card, else if you meet those 1st day on the work without experience they blur blur asking for cash.

Then see if you got that RM 5 off.

I took the ride yesterday and credit card was charged. I was in a rush so didn't check the total payment until after work. And found out full payment was charged.

Call them up inquiry on this promotion. Guess their system got override due to the raya promotion and not restore back the initial promotion.

Their call center will be busy....

Called them but couldn't get through. Emailed them twice still no feedback. So don't really know what happened.

Guys, i'm curious, how does Grab/Uber gets their cut from passengers who pay in cash? Do you have to pay them back or something?

Newbie have RM100 credits in the apps. It deduct everytime you pick up the passenger. Just top up the balance in petrol station if lack of credit.

Call them them and check it out. But only apply for full time grab driver. If not they wont rent to you.

For riders who pay in cash, I know that we top up the toll charge on the fare payable by riders.

But for GrabPay (ie credit card) riders, do we request them to reimburse us in cash after the trip?
