Just wanna know if you tried swimming in natural lake? Last time used to fish/camp in melawati dam and would swim there, very nice, the feeling is totally different when swimming in the lake, you know the water is more than 100M deep, but suprisingly its easier to tread as compared to swimming pool.

last time we mix with the kampung people, they;ve special passes to enter the area, we even built a big rakit, reason is before building the dam inside there got a lot of durian orchard, so now the folks need to get thier harvest. They're an unwritten understanding that we do not go near the watergate, we fish and camp on the other end of the lake, theres a stream on the other end. The pegawai also close one eye.

Swimming in deep water is always easier to swim; provided there's no current. This; I think; is because larger water mass = less resistance. However, got to be very careful of undercurrents. Especially in waters which appear calm.

sweat.gif Not because of it's deep then you're easier to swim, it's because of the content of lake water. Lake water have more minerals source, higher salinity and resulting higher density relatively to human body compared to pool water. The theory is the same with seawater, just the factor of salinity is a bit different for each water, seawater consist more sodium but lake from the other way else.... nod.gif

Erm; I was talking 'bout water depth in general. Even in a swimming pool; if the water is deeper; it's easier to move through the water compared to if the water's shallow.
