QUOTE(Mike3300 @ Jan 20 2007, 11:33 AM) The iPhone has not hit the stores yet, but there are some companies already started to make their accessories. I wonder does iPhone comes with a screen protector or a case for protection. i personally will not buy that kind of ugly stuff to put together with my cool gadget.

YA. sure expensive. But i'm not so sure apple will like to sell iphone without contract. Just thought about 3rd party app, apple do not want 3rd party app in "their" iphone

Just thought about 3rd party app, apple do not want 3rd party app in "their" iphone then i guess it might come up to 3k ringgit. i also wonder why apple did not want to 3rd party app in there. maybe security issue?

It's not that Apple is not allowing 3rd party apps altogether. It's a quality issue. Developers would need to go through Apple's strict UI and quality guidelines before they can be considered for the iPhone. And since Apple themselves are GREAT software developers. Keeping it a closed platform has its advantages.

The iPhone is following the model set forth by current iPods where third party games are commissioned by Apple.

The reason being Apple can set guidelines and control quality of the 3rd party products. It's a good thing. You won't want you iPhone/iPod crashing on ya, would you?

Hmm.. flight mode is like switch off the network functions (calling/emails/sms..) and you can use your phone as normal mp3/mp4 player, AKA turn into IPOD

first i also like "wow..only 499". then realized that it comes with 2 years contract meaning the price of the phone is larger than the price they stated now.
it would be sucks if the phone comes here contract-tied with malaysian telcos. 2 years on a contract is quite dangerous and if screws up, will end up with all the 'hutang'.
