Nope, I think yours is vendor (non official) ROM with bloatware installed, it's not the official ROM

Just use the built in updater app to update to latest ROM
Unless you want to move to other official ROM such as China Stable, China Dev or Global Dev
If you want to flash other customized ROM, u'll need to unlock the bootloader first

Flashed to latest Global Rom.

Problem is that the phone is TD-LTE. I have already flashed to global rom so I expect our network will work but somehow stuck with just Edge Signal. Weird

If i want to unlock Malaysia set for root purpose, where do I go. need to unlock from Malaysia or international Mi ?

better just unlock from now, later just root when feeling like it

Snapdragon variant should be able to support most of the LTE bands

make sure u're signed in to your Mi account in your phone and use the same account to apply for unlock

Factory reset and now it's detecting 4G. Maybe it's important to put the SIM in when the phone is resetted so the phone can set things up.

Some bands of DIGI and Celcom are restricted though when searching for available networks

apparently after restarting once, my phone no longer has battery drain on this currect version of miui

Well sorry for the late reply. Actually my courier is not city link but ninja van have u heard of em weird name isnt it, seems after the email i have gotten from ninja van about my missing item i emailed lazada to get my order cancelled, but they told me my item is not missing that ninja van will deliver it to me in another 2 days and so i waited. I send another email to ninja van about the reply from lazada that my item is coming for the next 2 days and it seems they confirmed it with me and apologize for the bad service. So i waited ......and waited .....when the day came it seems they were talking cock as i didnt get what i ordered. i need to call lazada again and have them cancel the order. My fate doesnt want me to get an import redmi note phone.I may just have to wait for the malaysia version of mi5 launching soon and get that for sure and forget this nightmare i m having .
