Is AP set ok to buy? I've waited for one month already but Mi Malaysia still haven't restock yet. Current phone already rosak so need to buy new one now

Eww price in Malaysia is way inflated due to limited stock. I better wait for my friend to use it for a few months first, see truly ok or not. Last time Redmi note 2 banyak wifi connection problem.

Sabah and Sarawak no more Xiaomi service centre. Borneo people better off just buying AP set, since now you want to claim warranty, also have to pay your own postage ship to West Malaysia, same as AP set which has local dealer warranty.

I never understood why Xiaomi can't provide international warranty like OPPO and Vivo though.

By the way, any eta on when Android 6.0 is coming to RN3? Not happy with 5.1 because a lot of stupid design choices which makes user suffer. Going to buy RN3 only when they have Marshmallow.

Kuching Sarawak no more service centre lol. The one at Plaza Merdeka closed down last week already. Now you have to send to KL to claim warranty.

Anyone knows where to buy REAL tempered glass?

Most tempered glass sold in phone shops is actually just thick pieces of plastic. I'm currently working in phone shop and the ones they sell for RM 20-30, cost price actually only RM 3. I go supplier there ask but they say they will never stock real tempered glass because cost price too high and profit margin too low.

(Sometimes I really hate the business practices in Malaysia but I digress.)

But the phone shop I work in just received 10 units from Thorus few days ago.

By the way, cost price from thorus is Rm795 for RN3 pro. (Rm795 for 1 unit, got more discount if you buy in bulk, but not sure how much. So, buying it for Rm849 is actually quite a good deal since they only untung you rm50++. Every phone dealer shop in Sarawak is selling it for rm899 and above because they know Mi Malaysia now no stock so they can get away with selling it way above Rm849.

Yes, but Gorilla glass doesn't do much from my experience. I've seen a customer's Samsung S6 edge screen shattered from just sitting on it when placed in his back pocket.

Because I read that it can take up to 3 weeks to get bootloader unlock but I don't have time for that.
