My phone still hanging when sending pics thru whatsapp. Happen many times already.

What size are your pics
It won't hang at all on normal photos even up to 6-7 mb in size

Than absolutely no such problems on mine. I sent on average at least 10+ pictures daily. Perhaps you can try to reset the phone
I fact I had no experience of pics causing hang on whatsapp on my other phones too

Internal memory but all shots saved on ext sdcard ( SanDisk 200 gb)

Goto - Settings - Permission Manager - Apps - Whatsapp - On the Trust this app and App auto-launch

Other than Protected Apps setting, you need to set Allowed in Setting > Apps > Advanced > Ignore Battery Optimization for any apps encounter no notification issue. This fix my Gmail Inbox no notification problem.

If problem still persist, you may want to wipe Cache via Recovery or wipe apps data and reconfigure again. Hope this helps.

My Calendar on status bar also can't display the correct date icon in notification bar. Not sure it is Mate 8 specific issue or common on Android 6...

Oh wow I had no idea there's more settings. I see Facebook and Twitter in there. Will set to don't allow lol. No wonder Tasker didn't work before.
