Guys, I notice something weird with my whatsapp this 2-3 days since bought the mate 8... On my other phone, the message via whatsapp is instantly notified in the phone... But in the mate 8, sometimes I need to open the whatsapp, only then the message will notified... Same case with telegram... Anyone encounter this issue before?

u should read the terms of polar.. cos those high end device fitness watch normally pair well witb samsung sony n apple..

Check under protected apps in the battery manager. Protected allows it to run even when screen is off.

Secondly, i enable whatsapp to show in lock screen, ntg also
edit : solved for both. just in case u are wondering like me, if u turn on pattern lock for security, u cant have lock screen notifications and it wont turn on screens when received.

Don't have such issue - I'm using pin for security as I'm using finger print sensor. it only allows me to put in this method if i'm using finger print - else if i use pattern it won't allow me to use finger print

Yes. But u cant use pattern security lock and u have to enable/allow whatsapp (for example) to show in lock screen. Im getting it now but previously with pattern lock, it doesnt show.

SOT with 6hours above.its good not decent. u know other flagship phone is lower than that.
havent tested with 3rd party charger or powerbank. every phone has different fast charging ability and technology. test from anandtech said that huawei fast charging only works with huawei original charger because of the IC in mate 8. they tested with samsung fast charger but it didnt work because of the IC in mate 8 only detect huawei original charger to enable fast charging.i have posted about this in this thread u have to scroll back.

Yeah already read it. Kind of a waste of hardware that I already have. Well not wasted just slow charging. Decent SOT as in compared to normal use lol. That was hardcore gaming.

Its decent enough - i tried to compare IP6+, 1+2 and Mate 8, the mate 8 is quite ok - can't tell the difference much...this was done during late evening time....haven't tried night shots yet
