hi,i dun know if this question asked before....i recently bought my compaq v3000 series with intel........and i'm tempting to upgrade my laptop ram but i afraid if this action will damage the warranty, and what ur guys recommend for my laptop ram.

dead pixel.it might happen when u accidentaly hit the back of the lcd..if im not wrong there is T&C for dead pixel in waranty claim.

i repeat my statement.upgrading wont directly void ur waranty.all u need to do is get urslf a new ram and attach it in urslf.keep the ori 1.if anything happens to ur lappie which u need to go for waranty, change the ori ram back and detach ur ram.easy as that.

if there is no hp warranty sticker attached to the cover, you can upgrade the ram anytime.
i bought a v3759tu for my sister and upgraded the ram to 4gb.
vista ultimate sp1 detected full 4gb onboard

got a wierd problem with my laptop presario 3754..

I just finish installing windows xp(thanks to PVCpipe), the wierd problem is, none of the driver in the website or in this thread works with my laptop. Took me hours to install those driver, and none of them are responding, no sound, no network, no wireless LAN, nothing.. I already try all the links in the thread, all the driver, looking for the right one, I did follow the instruction/tutorial on the thread, still the same...

anyone...

just finished my final exams today...

today is an auspicious day to start V3 thread...

install the chipset then reboot, install the uaa bus bla bla, reboot.... then u can install other driver..... if they r not working, try the above method that i mention to alexjiezhen.... all the driver should work

Thanks PVpipe.. all unknow hardware settled. The unknow is HP launch button. But then i cant find my wireless card hardware. The driver wont install. After extract, it just gone without install. now i cant connect to any WIFI. Only have bluetooth. In my device manger> network adapter> only got 1394 Net adapter and NIVIDIA nForce Networking Controller. I wondering where is my wireless Broadcom hardware? Same case again in my HP wireless assit only have bluetooth ;status ON. I suspect my wireless card not connected or somehow.. Anyone think so? What should i do?

no idea.ur using amd-based lappie.the most is graphic card prob.double check the temp for the gpu and do u play high-reso games with ur lappie?

without the power cable... battery fully charge... can last less than 5 minutes...
