try open up ur HDD casing, then u will see a small device right beside HDD...that must be the heat sensoring device i guess...and i think they have one beside GPU as well...

GPU stands for Graphic Processing Unit...correct me if im wrong...

some time really feel tulan when see the heat goes untill 93c...

but i still dont undastand...if really 93C, turn ur lappy around, then u can goreng telur liao...

but when i touch the bottom, not that hot also..

someone plz tell us where is the GPU....need to know where exactly it is...

Added on January 23, 2008, 4:17 pmok..when i check using the Nvdia Geforce temperature level...the core slow down threshold is 130c....so does it mean that around 100c is normal??? LOL!

hi hi..

Anyone ever experiencing wireless problem with this V3000?
i bought V3204AU last May and something wrong with the wireless today..
somehow it just simply "gone".. In HP Wireless Assistant can only see Bluetooth installed. Tried reinstall/update the driver, nothing avail.
Sometimes the Blue Indicator Lite remains "blue" eventough i switched off.
Ooppss... and of course, nothing wrong with my wireless adsl modem...

the air ventilation must be the problem/....the heat sink fan opening and all the design is too lousy for this lappy to throw heat!..stupid i would say...

for those later model..they have better air ventilation...check out C731...u will be surprise..

Why? What's wrong with their customers service?

Hmm I plan on getting the v3700 series ... but AMD or Intel, which is better? My budget, if possible, below RM2500. Also, maybe upgrade to 2GB RAM ... v3713au sounds ok, anyone has any experience with it? Does it overheat?

u better do ur own research on the difference between amd and intel.both got their pros and cons, depend ur usage.however amd is much more cheaper than intel(coz intel do more advertisements).v37xx is new model..not much in this thread got owners of that..juz remind that u noe wats in the proc(1.6mhz enuf? 800mhz,u sure? and 2mb,can kua?)ask urself to noe ur own needs.2gb ram is normal and very smooth for xp but not vista.4gb seems overacting..haha!

Thanks SiuYi! Yeah, I'm planning on getting xp for it, not vista. That can save me money coz my bro can install it for me. I'm not sure about the mhz, but it's 1.9GHz ...

when u plan to get xp..make sure the following things:
1. u got al the drivers u need.xp don follow with the suit.remeber ask for drivers when u get a free dos lappie from the shop.shops in lowyat such as 3com and cycom do give buyers free drivers if u ask from them.

2. the procs and rams do support ur need.1gb is sufficient for xp smooth but 2gb provides faster effects.

3. make sure u get the whole box back..don leave anything at the shop juz becoz u feel heavy with it.haha.u never noe how important it will be when u need it someday.

thanks and no thanks.

oh, you just got the same problem tat bug my comp twice........ both oso change mobo. The last time i went to change ( just recently), the service center said such problem if its confirmed caused by mobo, then they will change mobo for you FOC. Hp has extended the warranty to such problem till 2010, means they change mobo free till 2010.

Well, its good they recognize this problem and give extra warranty for this, if nt my pocket kosong dy just by changing mobo laugh.gif
