currently my processor multiplier is 6
the default will be 9
which means 9*166.3mhz i will get 1.5ghz, which is my default clockspeed
now i am @ 6x A.K.A underclocked
must update the bios first only can do modification on clockspeed?
or got any software can just adjust clockspeed in windows

i used another called PCWizard from CPU-z

just now recorded down the battery usage
mine is around 12minutes for 6%
logically can last 200minutes full charged
with minimal workload

ya can see tons of drivers for vista
finding XP driver is pain in teh arse

so far i am certain that
chipset = intel chipset driver
wifi = broadcom
wired LAN = Marvell Yukon
sound card = Conexant
intergrated graphics = intel 965
nvidia graphics = nvidia drivers lol
bluetooth = Software and Drivers for HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless

it doesnt means the driver must be in the certain model's driver page
as long the chipset is the same, all drivers can be used

if not mistaken condition zero's requirement quite low actually
somewhere between HL and HL2
so medium setting should be ok
of cos RAM the higher the better tongue.gif

i m thinking to buy a new compaq laptop v3614AU or v3658tu.jus for normal usage like doin asgment n sufing net .AMD is adequate for me ?.is compaq reliable ? is it window vista must have at least 1GB support or it will lack?

pls gv me sugeestion....thxx guys.. ^.^
*
AMD got higher clockspeed but downside is low L2 cache
intel got slight lower clockspeed, but L2 is almost double of AMD's
if you dunno wat is all those stuff, can just ignore it tongue.gif
if you discard the comparison, either amd or intel will do
as for win vista, i will not recommend it, as it still too new and got tons of bugs
if you insist want to use vista, 2gb is recommended
plus install xp in another partition, incase you regret on using vista tongue.gif
if going for xp, depends what kind of tasks you going to do
if just doing assignment, 1gb is more than enuf
like mine i mostly doing 3d rendering, programming and photoshop, so i need 2gb ram
