I seriously hope it's the usual thing to have such a temperature. I actually own 2 v3000 series. I sent the other back to claim warranty 2 weeks ago. The lines suddenly appeared on the LCD screen. When i say lines, i don't mean scratches or cracks on the screen surface. I meant something's wrong with the lcd liquid. Nearly gave me a heart attack. This other's temparature isn't as extreme. I guess it's because it's running on c2d.

just curious can we change the battery to a better battery life 1, instead of using the original 6 Cells 4400mAH Li-ion Battery.

the solution is:
bring back to your dealer, and tell them your problem
and claim back warranty..

lol....i bought this lappie from "GEEK"
i go back there and they cannot fix this problem for me.
they ask me send back to HP tower at damansara for warranty.
the problem is i do not have transport.
so i hope have other solution beside sending back to HP.
i'll put send back to HP as last solution.

eh...if going to HP service center at damansara, how to go there by public transport(taxi,lrt,bus)? and will they take vr long to fix it? long means 3-4 day.

haha..

Added on February 11, 2007, 12:48 amPersonal Mini Review from Andiboi.
Haha..
let me give out my review about this notebook..
i bought this notebook from last month..
the reason i bought it:
1st the design attract me.
the design of this notebook are really "Beutiful", yes i describe it as "BEUTIFUL".. haha..
Secondly, the price of this notebook are reasonable and cheap. and can last me for 3 years.

V3166 Technical Specifications:
* AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile TL-52 (1.60GHz/512KB)
* 14.1" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280 x 800)
* NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150
* 1512MB DDR2 SDRAM
* Super Multi 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support
* Dimensions: 13.15" (L) x 9.33" (W) x 1" (min H)/1.54" (max H)

i been using this notebook for 2-3 weeks i think. i have not encounter any problem and error. I'm so satisfied about this notebook. the heat is no hot but warm, normally the hdd temperature always stay at between 50'c when i do a little surfing,music listening,msn. So i think the heat aren't a problem, the heat are normal and not hot. but the negative part about the heat is some ppl will like to buy a cooling pad for it, but the heat coming out is located at bottom left part. Lot's of cooling pad, the fans are built at middle and top which useless for overcome the heat of this notebook. So v3000 users are having hard time to find a cooling pad.
Haha..
I am not a profession of IT so i cant really tell how the processor speed or the graphic card. so i will give out a very simple review from a very simple ordinary consumer. Hehe. I do my homework, surfing, listening music, chatting at the sametime, i didn't encounter any slowing. I am so happy bout it, it's very fast and smooth. I try play games, mostly i play chinese rpg games but i do play NFS for testing. I play NFS with low setting and it run very smooth and nice. it's very good for me already as i am not a serious PC Gamer.

Anyway, i will upload pictures soon.

Pros:
+Design BEAUTIFUL
+Reasonable Price(Can said it's cheap too)
+Light Weight
+Clear and Sharp Screen

Cons:
-System recovery are saved in HDD

Hi people. I own a hp compaq v3119. I noticed that the temperature level reached quite an alarming state of over 70 celcius after an hour's usage. Is it normal? It's running on AMD Turion x2 with 2gb worth of rams. The rest of the specs are the same.

p/s: Just bought this amd lappy a month ago. I also have another 3 months old v3000 series with c2d processor. Can i be added to the lists?  rclxms.gif

you laptop temperature is quite impressive.are you using it in air-con room?cos mine reach around 65 for both cpu and harddisk during playing dota.by the way, didn't check gpu temperature because didn't install everest, using NHC only.Actually the AMD isn't the main issue of heating problem, since it maintain at a quite low temperature.The main problem is HD always excess 55c

I just bought my laptop(V3222) this wednesday, i think you should be able to find it in only few shop in lowyat because most of the shop no stock already.you can try to find it in 3rd floor of lowyat.Overall, i sastify with my laptop but only about heating issue of it...
