Hi.. Just got the V3203AU - AMD Turion 64 X2, 120GB HDD and 512MB DDR2 (+1GB DDR2). The problem I'm having now is how to install Windows XP or Vista since it only has FreeDOS? I tried to install use Windows setup disk but it keeps telling me certain file not found. Help !!!

Anyone using Windows XP 64 bit on AMD Turion? Any problem?

Anyone got problem with wifi for AMD notebook? Mine seems to have 2 unknown device in hardware manager and no wifi.

I installed all the drivers in pg1 but not sure if I follow the sequence. Do I have to follow the sequence?

what is the network controller in v3203AU? my device manager shows it as unknown and no driver for it. pls help.

Yea... the graphic shared memory is somehow related to amount of ram u have. If 512MB, i think it's fix at 64MB for graphic... I upgraded my ram to 1.5GB and able to increase my graphic mem to 128MB.

I could be wrong though... try ask HP guys.

Added on February 1, 2007, 5:32 pmJust upgraded the driver after i connected my lappie with LAN connection. Can't remember which site did I upgrade it from but it's eaither HP or Windows. Anyway, the driver can't support draft N yet.. at least I can use wifi now

What type of memory does the V3203AU use actually? 533Mhz or 667Mhz?

So the 533Mhz will be shown as 266Mhz in cpu-z? and the 667Mhz will be shown as 333Mhz? I'm kinda confused here. I upgraded 1GB of DDR2 (533Mhz) cause it suppose to be compatible with the original ram but when I check with cpu-z.. the original (512MB) shows 333Mhz (PC2-5300) and the new 1GB shows 266Mhz (pc2-4300). But does the difference between 333 and 266 makes a lot of difference? I doubt my eyes can detect the differences.

Somemore it's strange to know the original maker of 512MB ram is Samsung, not Kingston.

Kingston 1GB DDR2 is around RM285. That's last week price though when I bought my V3203AU and upgraded it on the spot. The original ram is Samsung, i think.

I manage to update the driver ... u need to go to hp website or windows.. can't remember

My GPU temperature went up to 83 plus after running Aquamark3. Try it.. it's fun

Get V3203.. more worth it. 120GB HDD, BT, DVD-RAM. Card reader.

I never download an individual driver file. I let the windows scan my hardware and it updates itself from the internet. Try going to website link from HP help menu. Press F1 from ur lappy and the customize HP Compaq help file should appear.

Looks like the V3203AU model. It's available at lowyat plaza. I bought one last month and upgraded the ram to 1.5GB. Love the lappie every since.
