Hi people. I own a hp compaq v3119. I noticed that the temperature level reached quite an alarming state of over 70 celcius after an hour's usage. Is it normal? It's running on AMD Turion x2 with 2gb worth of rams. The rest of the specs are the same.

p/s: Just bought this amd lappy a month ago. I also have another 3 months old v3000 series with c2d processor. Can i be added to the lists? rclxms.gif

GPU temperature is 70 plus after an hour. It can reach 80 at certain times. Should i get a notebook cooler or something?

I seriously hope it's the usual thing to have such a temperature. I actually own 2 v3000 series. I sent the other back to claim warranty 2 weeks ago. The lines suddenly appeared on the LCD screen. When i say lines, i don't mean scratches or cracks on the screen surface. I meant something's wrong with the lcd liquid. Nearly gave me a heart attack. This other's temparature isn't as extreme. I guess it's because it's running on c2d.

My room isn't air conditioned. There's only a ceiling fan. What temp do you guys normally get at room temp? Should i should get this heating problem checked by somebody?

p/s: what software do you ppl usually use to detect temp? Just downloaded AMD PowerNow! Dashboard. The CPU temperature was hovering around 50C after 4 hours for the notebook. And GPU core temp was around 70C. OK kah?
