can but HP need to get details from the shop
to prove that your item is within the warranty period
else i can just take a 5years old lappie go claim warranty lol

oh ya forgot to mention
there are 2 kinds of warranty
1 is local warranty
1 is international warranty

local warranty issued by the shop that selling it
which is just a reciept
and they got the responsiblity to send your item to the HP service centre

international warranty issued by HP itself
which is a warranty card
by using this warranty card, you are able to get service @ any service centre around the world
as long there is HP service centre in that certain country

i think dun need warranty card or receipt, my fren go to HP service center nvr bring any receipt or warranty card wor.... HP will check through serial num i guess.

Yup. From my experience, HP technician only check the serial number at the bottom of the notebook. So no worries. Unless u are so unlucky

but lets just hope that dont happen..coz my receipt really hilang liao..

that day didnt bring bag or something...then the receipt is a big piece of paper, canot fit into my wallet...so just put in my gf's bag..then duno hilang where liao..hah tongue.gif

is there 3 years extended warranty for HP laptops? if yes, where to purchase them and how $$?

friend plans to buy the F731AU AMDx64x2 that best price RM 1,799
