waranty fee can be checked online in hp website..
claiming of waranty in hp waranty centres do not nd the receipt.
if u cant go, make sure the person who bring ur lappie noes ur full name and ic num.
owaz leave a hp num when u drop ur pc there..
standardly, they nd at least 5 workings days to settle ur lappie..
i went there twice, ntg big deal..

even if ur pc is over waranty and u wish to add on summore, u can.
bring ur pc over, they giv it an inspection to make sure it is still in gud situation, then baru they giv u the waranty.
maximum per pc is 3 years waranty max.

Warranty is very important. I bought my v3101 one and half years ago. Luckily i extend the warranty under HP ONE CARE. It only cost me RM299 for extended 2 years warranty. (total 3 years) You must extend it within 30 days after purchase or else it would be costly to extend. If not mistaken it would cost you RM250 a year.

Recently i my laptop would turn on. So since the warranty is on site next working day warranty, the engineer actually came to my office the third day (not so bad). And i he replace the mother board for me in front of me and take less than a hour to do so. Since the laptop has not much spare part as most of it are integrated in the mother board, it would cost you a bomb if you do not carry a warranty.

Good lucks guy without warranty one...hehe

3 months still can but you have to pay a slightly higher price i guess.
The benefit is all parts of the laptop has 3 years warranty except battery which only carry 1 year warranty. So within 3 years you can any part of your laptop repaired unless it is caused by human negligence such as pouring water on your laptop because when the engineer open up the casing he can detect burn mark and hp may ask you to pay for it. Other than that everything is free and you dun have to bring it to the centre. HP will send engineer to your place. So if you have just purchased your laptop better get extended warranty as our laptop is very fragile.

Ic, now this is what people call on site engineer huh...good...but the price to pay is kinda too high...

so it's depends on individual whether the price is worth to pay or not.

thanks for the information though..=)

Should be! For your information whatever you guy install such as hem hem windows vista will not void your warranty as the warranty is for your hardware only. The on site technician rather is employed under outsourcing company but work under HP though. They are quite okie. But mostly what they do is dismantle your laptop and change new part and assemble back. That is it.

Can some1 expert help me with this V3521tu ? Im really quite sick with it already.... Im currently using vista ultimate 32, i have install every drivers and everything work perfectly other tahn the card reader... At 1st, the card reader driver is pre install after i finish the installig the clean windows... Until yesterday i wanted to use the reader, when i plug it in, it ask for driver... i keep searching and cant get it.. But when i check back the device manager, it show me that it has been install... its damn weird. so i planed to dl the latest driver from hp, after install + restart, same thing remains. I even search for the build in driver from vista. same thing happen. So i uninstall the driver and plan to install the latest 1, but seems to b worst. Now cant even install the "sd card controller" driver... Can some1 here help me with this? cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif
