those must be one of the 1st batches of the series you bought....normally that happens when you buy the 1st batch

audio rite....must install the UAA Bus thing 1st....thats actually the audio patch

install the UAA BUS already....after that try many different version of audio and modem..still cannot..... really no idea ady...other driver no prb..... now left the audio adn mdoem..

I just bought one V3412. No HDD failure. No crash but having difficulty to get the drivers for modem and sound. So frustrating now..

Are the drivers for V34XX series same as V32XX series? It takes hours for me to DL the drivers.

we should do a poll just to check how many users have problem and what is their opinion of their lappie now...

My relative just bought Dell 1420 last week...quite good actually .At least the dvd writer does not vibrate as much as ours..

today i install vista on it V3415, OMG the dvd GOT sound men !!!! vibrate till got sound come out LOL !!!! the driver is not really hard to find la.... go Hp Download driver gau time la !!! but got 2 driver i cannot solve

i've extended the warranty to 3 years.. it was like around 1xx one year. NO choice must extend.... really don feel save on this product hehe

If I know this, I would have wait for the PC Fair... I agree with you that the DVD drive is loud though... my colleagues who sit in the same row as me also could feel it.. embarassing
