Hi...need some help here.

Today when I on my notebook V3242, it goes into disk check mode.
However during the disk checking process, it hang / freeze at 8%.
I have no choice but to force shut-down and restart again & again but still disk check hang / freeze at 5% and sometimes 8% etc.

If I exit the disk check, I still able to boot to Vista BUT the system is unstable as some of the device drivers seems missing and I not able to connect to my handphone as a modem.
I have tried system restore but system restore failed.

I think only way to solve this to do a full disk check when reboot but the disk check still hang / freeze.

Any suggestion what to do next before I do a FULL system recovery ?

open up task manager and take a look at your memory usage. if it never goes up to 700MB, you don't need 2 GB.
you might want 2GB with vista. but vista fail is every way.
dvd is 8x

get a win xp cd. pop it in.
get into bios. change boot priority to optical drive.
then follow the instructions.

just depends on your $$$ and decide it

stock left, depends on your luck, and if upgrade ram, depends on the capacity you upgrade, it cost you about RM100-RM230+- wink.gif for 1gb to 2gb.
warranty wise, I bought 3 years carepack from john for RM199, he said its promotion price, but am unsure biggrin.gif

when compaq wil introduce newer models? or they wil just continue with current trend? Upgrade 1 spec, make name it diff model. Upgrade again, a new model number... and so on. I hate Compaq brand now... they just like Dell. Use same design for years. unfortunately dell coming up with new models, compaq not.
