Question:
After I installed "AMD Processor Update(sp33499.exe)" & "AMD Dual-Core Optimizer(Setup.exe)", how come my Windowns XP still detect 803 MHz instead of 1.61 GHz?

you're on Battery or AC with the 800mhz?
if battery its normal I guess, but if you're On with AC, guess you've to set the speed to full speed, are you using NHC?

Hmmm so far i read a few pages in this thread and found that the 6150 kinda perform well. i'm quite sure to get this lappy adi biggrin.gif just wondering does the 256kb x 2 has a big diff than the 512kb x 2 for the amd model?
*
256kbx2 and 512kbx2 which 2 of this refer to L2cache. There is L1 cache and L2 cache. But most of Intel model was 2mb L2 cache. But for your info, more cache is better. Example for u to convert a movie with higher L2 cache, it will convert faster compare amd that had lower L2 cache. This is the research that im found from website before i bought my Amd lappy hmm.gif

Ok what 800mhz, at least it was reduced power consumption. the clocking will dynamically change based on what u used on laptop. My lappy like that....

i'm frustrated to get a PC. Wanna know more about AMD. I afraid the power consumption is high and the laptop does not last 2.5hr++

I wonder is it HP is the best among others?
