Guys want to clarify a few points
1) the bonus interest of 3.6%p.a is is counted daily or at the end of the month?
2) if I were to do a IBFT to say bank A x3 for RM1, is it counted under bill payment or I must IBFT to Bank A, B and C?
*
I just accompany my gf go create 360 account last week. According to the agent, need to transfer to different account. If transfer same account x3, only count as 1.

It's based on average daily amount.

Different bank works. Have not tried 3 different accounts in same bank. I have plenty of savings account so don't wanna risk it

1.20% - Spend minimum RM500 on your OCBC Credit Card

Is spending at petrol station using Debit/Credit card counted as retail transaction?

Sure. Will do it sometime next week. It’s for my mom actually. I already have one OCBC 360 Account that I opened at the branch last year and issued with an ATM card then (since changed to debit card but until now I have not seen my account charged with RM8 annual fee).

FYI, my mom already has access to OCBC online banking as she has an active credit card with OCBC Bank. Will not apply for debit card for her account as it is to be used predominantly online. Already aware from earlier posts that instant transfer isn’t usable for account not issued with debit card. We shall see...

OK. Thank you. Our situation is different then. I haven't subscribed to any of ocbc's product yet. If your mom manages to open an account online, then I'll explore whether new to bank customer will be able to do so too or not.

Oh. I think it won’t be possible if you do not have OCBC online banking access. Because when you click into opening an account, it will ask you to choose your preferred branch, and that it will follow your existing signature record maintained with OCBC Bank.

Hmm.. That makes sense. Oh well, I'll drop by to one of the nearest branch when I actually go to that town. Thanks for the info though!

and this is great acc to go with using my 1% unlimited cc.

is my acc new so i am unable to use it to transfer fund?

i only given option to use my easi acc but not the 360 acc.

and i need only to swipe my previously own credit card rm500 to fulfill one of the 3 condition right?

If not mistaken , suppose to be able to transfer fund no matter of old or new
Yes , one of the requirement is spend RM500 using the credit card

One person can only have one debit card with OCBC. So, only one card will be issued but it can be linked with the two accounts. Make sure to set the account as primary account to get the bonus interest on debit card spending. Bonus interest is available for debit card / credit card spending for OCBC 360 Account but for OCBC 360 Account-i only debit card spending is eligible as there is no Islamic credit card offered by OCBC.

So, to get the maximum interest for both accounts, link the debit card to OCBC 360 Account-i as primary and use the credit card spending to qualify for bonus interest for OCBC 360 Account. This is only necessary if the monthly average balance in the account is more than 100k. Otherwise, it would be simpler to just use one account.

I have shared the solution to this before more than once. Do check back my previous posts on this.

Yes, I can confirm it works. If you want to get the maximum 4.1% interest for OCBC 360 Account-i, need to get the debit card from the branch. Else, can be done online if you already have OCBC online banking.

No, the debit card must be linked to the 360 account as a primary account for it to count.

I just opened 360 account online via internet banking today.

Has anyone tried changing the primary account linked to debit card from savings EasiSave to new 360 Account over the phone? I tried calling the CS but she was unsure how to do it (told me there is no need to link the debit card to new account). Should I try calling again tomorrow and maybe talk to another CS officer? The OCBC bank branch is far from my place.
