No, you cannot transfer to OCBC's CASA to fulfill the bill payment category. It needs to be other banks' CASA. However, using it to pay OCBC's credit card or loan would be acceptable.

This specific question was posed to the OCBC rep who came to my office, they said transferring to OCBC CASA (not your own, someone else's) would count.

Is there a special procedure opening an account with OCBC? Went to their Puchong branch to open a savings account but they denied because I live in Cheras and wanted to see my tenancy agreement. I went to Puchong one because I stay at Cyberjaya on weekdays for study and work. I did show my IC but it was my hometown address in Sarawak.

Will try again on Saturday at another branch see if still got issue or not. But just want to be sure if I really need this document next time

there is a cheras OCBC branch, bring along your electricity bill, water bill, and tenancy agreement if you have, it's a standard procedure if applicant is not from local state. Happened to me once when opening a Maybank acc in Seri Kembangan, was from Kedah, living in Putrajaya and work in Seri Kembangan, they asked for my bills and work letter.

I see. Thanks for the advice. Will keep in my mind not only for this but for future reference too lol. Considering a trip to a non-local bank is pretty hard considering they don't have an abundant number of branches lol

Add : Finally got my account. Thanks for the advice!

I do have some questions. Is the method of transferring money 3 times still work? I'd assume to the same account will count as one time as per T&C. Extra question, anybody tried to transfer money to CIMB and CIMB KWIK? Does that consider as one or two transfers?

Then paying for bills, some said that splitting one bill to 3 helps fulfill the 3 bills criteria. Did you guys mean the same bill split into 3? Like pay TNB 3 times? I thought that would consider as one time because same receiver just like the account one

My OCBC 360 is my main account and I have alot of saving accounts with minimal balance RM20, RM1 etc.
I would normally perform instant transfers to savings account or to credit cards, each transfer to a unique account would count as 1 I believe.

Not sure about non-unique bills, 3 times can be either transfers/pay bills/pay credit cards.
RM500 spending is another different category for additional 1.2%

Can I use the ocbc credit card to pay for insurance premiums? Insurance generally not entitled for cash back, but I don't see that clause for ocbc credit cards.

If so, then spending rm500 per month can be reached

I also have the same question. Anyone can confirm?

Yes, I am doing it by paying insurance premium via auto debit to OCBC Credit Card to form majority part of the RM 500 expenses.

It would be considered as credit card spend. To qualify for bill payment, need to pay from OCBC 360 account itself.

Been receiving several calls from OCBC pestering me to get a credit card for full 4.1% interest rate benefit. During the most recent call, I replied I do not want additional credit cards due to SST. The sales guy said, I do not have to worry about it as the bank will absorb the SST charges.

Is this true? Also what is the benefits of the 365 card? 1% rebate up to 1k only...no points. Also need to spend at least RM500 to get the 1.2% intereste rate...I barely spend that much anyway as I have the Maybank 2card amex 5% cash back on weekends ... I only use the visa card if the shop does not accept amex...Also I have treat points which can be redeemed for vouchers....so I do not see the point in getting the OCBC 365 card..

What's your opinion?
