Got. I just opened this account yesterday and used the fee-free MEPS Instant Transfer to transfer some money out right after through their mobile banking app. The fee-free MEPS Instant Transfer feature on their mobile banking app is the main reason I opened this account

Do however note that this fee-free MEPS Instant Transfer is just a limited time promotion (fee waived until end of this year). Being a FLIB with such a limited ATM, hopefully they will make the MEPS Instant Transfer free permanently someday.

Sure. Will do it sometime next week. It’s for my mom actually. I already have one OCBC 360 Account that I opened at the branch last year and issued with an ATM card then (since changed to debit card but until now I have not seen my account charged with RM8 annual fee).

FYI, my mom already has access to OCBC online banking as she has an active credit card with OCBC Bank. Will not apply for debit card for her account as it is to be used predominantly online. Already aware from earlier posts that instant transfer isn’t usable for account not issued with debit card. We shall see...

Oh. I think it won’t be possible if you do not have OCBC online banking access. Because when you click into opening an account, it will ask you to choose your preferred branch, and that it will follow your existing signature record maintained with OCBC Bank.

I attempted to help my mom to open an OCBC 360 Account for her online this morning but was unable to proceed as she had no existing savings or current account with OCBC Bank which is needed to fund the initial deposit at point of creation of the new OCBC 360 Account. So I guess she will still have to walk-in to OCBC Bank to open her account.

By the way, for OCBC 360 Account, only the conventional OCBC 360 Account is shown on her online banking. Can’t see the OCBC Al-Amin 360 Account-i.

That makes it the same as RHB Bonus Saver and Hong Leong Bank Pay & Save. But previously HLB one was 3%, so it won’t stay at 2.75% much longer.

I have it. Just another type of savings account. Good point is the very straightforward 1.8% per annum interest in ‘save pot’. OCBC 360 is still my primary OCBC savings account though.

Based on what he said, he did not receive any TAC from OCBC. However, based on the SMS he received from OCBC Bank, an OCBC OneToken attached to a previous device had been disabled because he allegedly registered a new one. So it seemed he had previously activated OCBC OneToken, which explained why he never received any TAC from OCBC to approve any transfer.

Second, in the SMS screenshot he shared, Maybank notified he had successfully activated Secure2U and subsequently notified him his limit has changed to 100k. But which transfer in Maybank allows 100k transfer in a day ? I know for personal account the highest transfer limit is 50k for DuitNow and ASNB own account. Or is that a commercial banking account ?
